Holiday Weekend

I hope you had a nice holiday and long weekend.  It's good to relax.

Today, I went for a long walk on the beach.  (Jones Beach, a landmark on Long Island.)

The beach is lovely this time of year: the air is crisp, the boardwalk is empty and the sun makes beautiful colors.  Here are some pictures.

  1. They are great pics, and you've captured that gorgeous light beautifully. You seem to be wearing a light coat ... does that mean it's not too cold?

  3. Lovely photos ... I have not been able to visit the whole weekend.

I have very strong feelings regarding Diana and therefore, try to keep 'me big ol' trap' shut most of the time - I think she was dealt a low blow in the whole deal and cajouled into a fairytale that turned into a complete nightmare for her - so many whisperings and tales surrounding the whole unfortunate event of marriage for her.

I do think that Kate is more prepared and hopefully more aware of what's expected of her and loved by the man she's marrying and not simply fulfilling the role of producing an heir to the throne.

I am going to find out if our dvd store has the movie you refer to as I'm curious

  4. Nice pics! Good thing you told us where you were, we may have thought California at first glance, with that jacket you are wearing. I'm glad you got to relax. Back to reality today. Ugh.

  5. The temperature is in the 50's (F), which is crisp but still comfortable. The weather doesn't usually turn bitter here until late-December.

Wendy, I agree with you about Diana. It was sad.

TM: Yup, returning to reality after a relaxing long weekend is unbearably hard. Hang in there.

  6. Nope! I go to delete drafts and accidentally publish. I really need to start paying more attention.

  7. Long walk on the beach? Que romantico! Can't do that here anymore now that there's snow on the ground, and walking and beaches are two of my favorite things.

Hope your week goes well now that the relaxing weekend is over...and, as always, thanks for all your sweet comments on my blog. I swear to God, I blush every time I read one. ;)

P.S. Good luck on your quest to become bubbly as fuck! It's difficult sometimes, but totally worth it in the end! Ha.

  10. Great photos ! I love the beach and miss it very much(I am a bit jealous lol). I am from Corpus Christi TX and the beach there is nice. Beaches in Seattle are no good. Well to me anyway.
