Fashion Bliss

I don't know why but I like this outfit. It starts with a vintage dress that appeals to me because of its sunny color and nice fit. Fortunately, I already have a scarf that matches the dress perfectly. You'd think they were made for each other, like Ariana and Pete.

You probably won't notice but I'm using orange lipstick and an orange ring to pick up the same color in the scarf. I pay attention to details like that. Do you? I finish off the outfit with white tights and heels. Just want them to direct attention upward.

What do you think? If this outfit works, why? I'm not sure why.

  1. Love this sunny yellow dress. It reminds me a bit of Suzanne’s yellow dress, but this is simpler. I love the white piping, and how you worked with that detail with the white tights. The scarf is perfection.
Yes to the lipstick choice. I think you know that I also love the details.
    Beautifully done!

  3. We are twinsies in yellow vintage! How fun!

I like that you chose the white on the bottom.

  4. Hey Ally, You look so happy in this dress and the scarf is very pretty.

Unlike the other girls I don't like the white tights as they hide your killer legs. I would rather have seen you with some pretty white sandals.

  5. I'm with Lynn - I'm not a fan of white tights (they read very "nurse" to me, or little girl). I would do sheer nylons with this to focus on the dress - which is FABULOUS! The scarf is a nice touch, as are the other orange details. Oh, the devil is in the details, my dear!

  7. I love the dress and you did a good job with hair, makeup and accessories. I think that the dress can also work well without the scarf.
I am in the camp that thinks it would have been better paired with nude hose rather than the white tights.

    1. Ok, thanks for the feedback. I like white tights because they remind me of Sixties fashion.

  8. I think it's lovely. You need a matching pillbox hat and you'd totally look like a hot 60s airline stewardess!! Reference https://www.pinterest.com/pin/534661786990349302/

  10. I really like the white tights with white shoes. However, if you were to wear white sandals, then I would like to see nude tights. Very nicely put together. You are lucky, you look wonderful in yellow. Yellow is a hard color to wear in my opinion.

  11. Love the yellow and how you coordinated the white pearl jewelry with the piping along the sleeves and hem. Killer lip color too!

  14. I agree with the White tights comments, you look good in nude tights! The dress is really cute. I could imagine the scarf also looking nice if you knotted the ends and wore it like an infinity scarf also.x

  15. Don't ask me why. Half the time I don't myself with my own outfits. But I agree it works perfectly. Very nice outfit.
And yes I pay attention to details like brooches, scarves, rings, bags as well.
