What Do You Think?

  1. I watched! I didn't think I'd be able to wake up... but I made myself. I found it quite long but it was worth it. Kate was absolutely stunning! I loved her dress... so tasteful and classy! What did you think?

  4. I think I"m in the minority here haha but.... it was on a 5 AM by me and in order for me to stay up that late to watch that, I would need to be heavily medicated haha. They're both cute and all, but I don't like when there's too much hype over a simple thing. Just two people getting married... so the news needs to chillax.

  5. A modern day fairytale <3

And I adored her dress. Such understated beauty.

  6. Watched a bit here and there ... and even had a few tears when they kissed. She looked stunning, which is exactly what we all expected. So thrilled that they truly look as though they adore each other.

    Beautiful. Sigh. Romantic. Sigh.

A couple of those fascinators were hideous, in particular Fergies daughters one ... Posh looked positively gorgeous, even though her husband should never utter a word, he did look rather dashing.

  7. I watched it and it was beautifull. Her Dress remindet me of the one Grace Kelly wore to her wedding, it was so pretty. They make a great couple.

  9. Me and my wife watched it and thought it was a nice event overall. I like pomp and ceremony but I watched it to see what the wedding dress was like. I thought the dress was okay but I liked her sister's dress more.

  10. Sorry... I don't believe in royalties. I believe in democracy. It's not fair that some people can enjoy all this wealth, while others are starving. Especially in U.K., people are going through difficult times. I don't even understand why they're celebrating, since all that were paid through their own taxes...! No offence Shy... things like that seem to fire me up!! :)

  11. I loved the wedding! I was actually in central London today during the wedding, the atmosphere was amazing! I loved it! I feel so lucky to live in London now :) And they are such an adorable couple, they look great together and so happy :)

  12. I catched a glimpse on E! this morning as I got dressed.
Actually I thought a lot about Diana - and how happy she would have been.
I also thought they looked in love which was the most important - finally I saw the Queen's teeth !! SHE SMILED !

I think if I were British I would be so upset they are wasting money like that, but since I am not...

  13. No, I didn't. Quite honestly I don't understand celebrity hypes (or at least make myself believe so, possibly out of arrogance :) ). I heard lots of controversial discussion about this wedding - they're hyping it up so that people forget the bad economy, etcetera - and I have to say I agree. I was curious about the dress but I find it too old-fashioned / stereotypical.

  14. No. Didn't watch it. And I couldn't care less, actually. Which is weird, cuz girl and dress and princess-y and fancy....

    xo,

  15. I watched and enjoyed! It's hard not to get caught up in the hype, but there's no harm in participating in the celebrations. It really was lovely - Kate looked absolutely stunning, the weather kept up and the crowd had fun. x

  16. As you guys have shown, there's more than one way to view this event. I'm not judging anyone's reactions, just soliciting and observing them. Thank you all for sharing. Your impressions educate me.

  17. Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog! I got up at 6am to tune in for the Big Royal Day and loved it! Her dress was perfect and sophisticated for the new Duchess.
And can I just say I LOVE the hats wish we did that here in Canada for weddings, everyone looked so good.

  18. No.

    I'm pissed off about it.

    It's the money.

  19. There's no shortage of bad news in the world today, and this was a bright spot for me. I had tears in my eyes for much of it, and I can't help but think that Di was looking down and pleased with what your son has done with his life.

Kate is picture perfect in every way. I hope that their love endures, as it can't be easy living your life in a fishbowl.

  20. I watched the best parts of the actual wedding but not all the hoopla surrounding it. I sort of felt sorry for them and almost didn't want to watch, just to feel I was giving them some privacy somehow. haha But, weddings always get the best of me...I just LOVE WEDDINGS! I think they are such a lovely couple and seem to be genuinely happy. But mostly what I thought about while watching (identified with) was how he felt getting married without his mom physically there. I like how they buck some of the traditions. They've been together a long time, and I think they're gonna do just fine!
