Holiday Weekend

Here in America, this weekend is not only a holiday, it's the start of Summer festivities. Millions of people will hit the road to visit places and have outdoor fun.

I'm riding my motorcycle to Rhode Island which is a half-day away. My niece graduated and is having a party. Her two older siblings had similar parties the past few years so I know what to expect. It's a nice occasion for me to catch up with my (late) brother's wife's family who live in RI.

What are you doing?

  2. It sounds like a great weekend.
I'm enjoying the summer sunshine, and tomorrow we are going to go to a summer restaurant on an island I've never been to, even though I've lived here for over 30 years...
    Enjoy your weekend!

  3. Wow riding your bike from Huntington to RI? That is impressive! I am getting together with friends doing something out doors out on the island for sure. And rest of the weekend working on the blog and chilling. And when I wrap here at the office I just may do a little shopping. After having migraine for 2 weeks I think I need a little retail therapy.

  8. Many happy congratulations to your niece, Ally. I hope that you're having a fun filled, sunny holiday long weekend. Our unofficial start of summer was last weekend, with the Victoria Day holiday on Monday, but alas, it has rained buckets in our corner of the country both then and this weekend. Very, very usual for this time of the year around these parts. On the plus side though, I can't remember the last time that the grass was as verdant is it presently is around these arid Okanagan parts.

    Have a fantastic long weekend!

  9. Hope you have fun! Looks like the weather might be perfect.

We had our long weekend last weekend. Today I'm trying to catch up from last week where I wasn't able to do a thing.

    bisous

  10. Sounds like a fun holiday, but I am sorry about your brother.. I have been out east all week and this week too. We avoided the crowds but go to see the sunsets! I was just outside listening to bird song. Beautiful!

  11. We actually didn't do anything special for Memorial day. I've gone on a crazy strict diet so barbecuing and all that jazz was out.
