Love Your Body Day

Today, October 20th, is Love Your Body Day. It's a day designed to create awareness about how our society (and especially commercial-advertising) views women's bodies and affects women's self-image.
A depressing statistic is that 80% of women are unhappy with their bodies. In my view, everyone ought to be proud of themselves and happy with who they are, physically and otherwise. The fact that so many people have been persuaded their bodies aren't good enough is sad. So sad it deserves scrutiny.

A blogger I admire is planning a special post for today. As soon as it's up, I'll alert you to it. It will definitely be worth visiting!

  1. I love that you are so positive Ralph. I know so many women, of every age, who are so unhappy with themselves. I am the same way most of the time. I think if we can get society to be more accepting, then I think most women will be. I am excited about the post! :)

  2. Yay! I made positive post-it notes and stuck them up all over the campus bathrooms yesterday to celebrate. I hope it made someone's day. Thanks for posting this...I think it's such an important issue!

BTW, sorry for the confusion with the email last night and everything. I just sent you another email to "explain," but I'm thinking my inbox might be having issues, so who knows if it'll ever get to you. =/
