Bowling Outfit

Ever since I was a kid, I wanted a bowling pin. A real bowling pin. Never thought I'd get one but my local thrift-store had one on display so I bought it last week ($20). Sometimes you see odd items in vintage stores that can be turned into home-decorations. All it takes is a fun attitude.  :-)

To showcase the pin, I'm wearing a purple body-suit with embroidered flowers. I like body-suits even though many feel they're uncomfortable. I like their multi-directional clinginess. Completing the outfit are some stock items I have in pink-purple colors.

Opinions on the outfit? Thoughts about using a bowling pin as decoration?

  1. I love bodysuits! My daughter got to take home a real bowling pin from the alley she had a party at one year. Everyone signed it with a Sharpie, so it's a cool keepsake. I like the looks of that pin for sure.

  2. I'm not a fan of bodysuits. I found them uncomfortable even as an 8 year old doing baton twirling or dance.

I think the bowling pin would be a great place to stack some jewellery, bracelets for example.

I think my favourite thing about this outfit are those pink tights, although with your gams they make all tights look amazing.

  3. I love the pink tights in the colors of this outfit. On the face of it it looks like a simple choice but I actually think the color choice is extravagant and wonderful. I love the look of body suits but find them very uncomfortable, like you do.
    Cool bowling pin! I

  4. The bowling pin is cool! I haven't worn a bodysuit for years but I found them vastly uncomfortable! That one is really pretty and very daring!! x

  5. I like the unusual look of this bodysuit, but I think it would be better layered under something - it's a little risque as is. I am short-bodied, so I have never found them uncomfortable to wear, but they are a pain to go to the bathroom in, ha ha!

I second Suzanne's opinion of the pink tights and your fab gams, Ally! Woo!

  6. I love the idea of using an object like a bowling pin as inspiration for an outfit. This is such a fun and colorful look. I've never found a bodysuit that has been comfortable because I'm so long in the torso. I won't stop searching for one though. You look fabulous, Ally! <3

  7. Not a fan of bodysuits, but I seriously love those pink tights! And your legs put mine into shame, it's as simple as that. Love the bowling pin as a deco object! xxx

  9. This is so cute!!! I love the look of bodysuits (though personally I always found them to be too restrictive). But here my favorites on the ice and I love the peekaboo look :) This is adorable on you. And love that you’re adding a bowling pin to your home decor (score on finding it at a local thrift store!).
