The outfit began when I found fuzzy pink leg-warmers in a head-shop. Who could turn these down? I built from there. In my mind, I'm a 24-year old with a flair for the extreme.
If you've never dressed out on the ledge, I recommend you try it. Expanding our horizon is exciting and teaches unexpected lessons. Plus, it gives you something crazy to put on your blog!
Oh my goodness - my anime, arcade dwelling, raver goth kid self is dying over this outfit. I would have wanted to be your BFF (not like I already don't!) but seriously this is so much funn!!!!ReplyDelete
I am so waiting for the day where I am not worn out, in pain and falling asleep over my computer because I got the most beautiful vintage jacket I want to do a photoshoot for. For now, I'll hold it tenderly while I dream, but one of these days, I'll get all gussied up.
I won't soapbox too much on somebody else's blog, but seriously, the age-appropriate police are the enemies of fun, and every time I see somebody figuratively (or literally, heh) give them the finger and wear what makes them happy and feel good, it fills me with delight.ReplyDelete
Also, you're wearing pink and black, which is always a perfect colour combination.
i love to see when you are having fun getting dressed, its like "yeah mission accomplished!"ReplyDelete
Yup! That's my goal.Delete
I love those leg warmers! Super cute! Plus, we must have FUN! It's an American right. It's in the Constitution under the pursuit of happiness bit...ReplyDelete
Those leg warmers are amazing! And your styling is perfect because it is fun. I try to do something fun with my outfits everyday, even if just a little, because it makes me happy too. And so does seeing my friend in this great outfit. I love it!ReplyDelete
I always think "Now where would Ally wear that to" when I see your outfits, not as a point of mockery, but as a point of interest. Today's outfit? The roller rink. Makes me mad I had to miss the last party at the one in our city!ReplyDelete
I grasp your thought and find it interesting to ponder. Routine life is too boring; we need to perk it up any way we can.Delete
I almost got those very same leg warmers in white for a unicorn costume last Halloween. :DReplyDelete
cute leg warmers!ReplyDelete
CHANEL LIPSTICK GIVEAWAY
ON MY BLOG!
Pink and leopard are a great combo. The leg warmers take it to a whole new level.ReplyDelete
Taking it to "a whole new level" is my objective. I want to transcend boring conventional life. Send my mail to "outside the box"!Delete
When I read the comment you left me today I laughed. I think you're so sweet and funny. I was thinking that you are just a LOT more FUN than I am. haha And then I head over here and see exactly that. A vibrant, full of life person that has a special flair all her own. And I LOVE it. Great job with the pink and animal print. I feel so dulllll. haha I've never even thought of owning furry leg warmers. :)ReplyDelete
Thanks, Lisa. I'm not special: it's just my open, joyful attitude that creates magic.Delete
Those leg warmers (and the whole outfit) whether age-inappropriate or not (not that I think there is any rules i.t.o. that any more) is filled with fun just like you!ReplyDelete
Your legs look killer in those leg warmers and I think I would wear them as well ... which would also be age-inappropraite but what the heck!!! Let's have some fun!!!! If we didn't do it when we were 24 let's act like we're 24 now!!!
You are an absolute inspiration!!!!
Lynn, I'd trade my motorcycle to see you in leg-warmers!Delete
These leg warmers are so insane... I kinda love them. If you can't have fun w/fashion, than what's the point? The winner of the first season of Project Runway, Jay, had a similar foot - thing going on for his runway show at NYFW and I was living... It is still the most memorable, IMO.ReplyDelete
I'm so glad you share my outlook. I worry that nobody will. I could seem kooky to conventional people.Delete
I am all for age inappropriate outfits, dressing purely for fun is the best! Also, I have leg-warmer envy!!ReplyDelete
I want those legwarmers now! I love them, great with leopard print and pink tights, definitely a dancing outfit -I love flamboyance, feathers and fluff I call it my 'inner Dolly'(Miss Parton, I have to refrain and restrain myself! although I was refused a showgirl outfit at a vintage fair when the sniffy vendor said I was too big! how rude! nonetheless I am still on the hunt for one which I will wear xReplyDelete
OMG! I'd love a showgirl outfit! We have similar taste.Delete
I really love this look. Hope I'm not insulting by saying it seems to match your awesome personality!ReplyDelete
That's a compliment! Thank you.Delete
FUZZY LEGWARMERS! This entire outfit is made of win, but I love those legwarmers!!! You pull them off so well too! Awesome!ReplyDelete
I am DYING. This outfit is awesome. You have to find a way to incorporate those leg warmers into a costume-party or Halloween outfit of some sort so you can show them off to the world!!ReplyDelete
This is so much fun! What I really love is that your colours are all so vibrant and go so well - great, fun outfit!ReplyDelete
I wondered where my next door neighbours dogs went to...:PReplyDelete
::::::::::thud::::::::::::I love this outfit!! I would so wear it to work just to freak all the stuffy toads out!!ReplyDelete
I am stealing the hot pink with leopard color combo for a future outfit!
OMG! I LOVE IT! SQUEEE!!!!! :DReplyDelete
I am the same way! On the weekends I tend to want to wear everything! Vests, necklaces, hats, you name it! I love all of the pink, you always pull it off!
Speaking of pink, my new car is pink! So you should come visit! Go to a Tiger's game, drive around in my pink car! eh? Eh? :D
Wow! That tipped the balance -- I'm coming!Delete
Massively fun ensemble! I'm with you 110% when it comes to sporting whatever you want and whatever brings you bliss (at least as much of the time as circumstances will permit). This outfit as joyful and sweet as a pink popsicle! :)ReplyDelete
You're a year younger than me now :) I am not a believer in age appropriate outfits, wear what looks good, feels good and fits well is what I live my life by! Those furry leg warmers are so fabulous and you already know how much I love leopard print! Have a great long weekend Ally!ReplyDelete
Those boots are hilarious! I totally agree that sometimes it's best to wear something that just makes you smile!ReplyDelete
Argh! Those leg warmers are THE BEST! This whole outfit is amazing! You look fantabulous, I love it.ReplyDelete
Yay for the ridiculous! Sometimes you just need to let loose and do everything fun all at once!ReplyDelete
My 24-year-old self would have been all over this outfit. I was really into Sailor Moon and cosplay. I'm still obsessed with pink. I love how adventurous your outfits are lately. Have you thought about dressing for other ages?ReplyDelete
I love your posts because you remind me to have fun, even if it's only in the confines of my own home sometimes. Those pink leg warmers are super cute and I always love a bit of leopard print. Your comment on my post made me laugh, ha ha ha to the va-ja-ja! I'll always think of it as the va-ja-ja dress now. xxReplyDelete
I love how fun and colourful this is! So fabulous and makes me happy to see so much fun and creativity. I always find it interesting how outfits come together, yay for pink leg warmers!ReplyDelete
So the legwarmers are obviously awesome and fun - but what struck me even more was how this outfit, with or without them, seriously gives you the cutest, girliest shape. It's something about the way the length and ruching of the cardigan work with the way the skirt just slightly puffs out at the hip under the waistband. Well-chosen pieces that are not only great in color and style but enhance that shape you're after. Love it.ReplyDelete
I never thought I'd write this sentence but here goes.ReplyDelete
I want to pet your legs.
There, I said it. That's no so bad, right? You look deliciously magical and cheery.
You made me laugh!Delete
Well those pink leg warmers really made me smile too - how fabulous are they?! They are crying out to be stroked...ReplyDelete
