Boston

I'm going to Boston! Today!

It's going to be a beautiful Spring weekend. Yesterday, I pondered how best to enjoy the nice weather. I considered various destinations for a motorcycle trip and remember how much I love Boston. I spent three years there in the early-1980's when I attended law school at B.U. Back then, I loved to roam the city but had no money. These days, I have piles of cash falling out of my pockets. The difference means better food and more opportunity to pursue fun activities.

I developed a plan in just a few hours. I'm going to view fashion and photography (Hiro) at Boston's Museum of Fine Art, savor pretty flowers strolling through the city's Public Garden, and eat delicious lobster rolls at my favorite spot, Faneuil Hall.

Have you ever been to Boston? Do you have any suggestions for me?

  1. Luck you! I lived there for almost eight years, in the 70's. So I am not up on pubs and restaurants! But I love the Public Gardens, The Top of The Pru (closed now? hope not), a cocktail at the Taj (table near the window) and a stroll up Beacon Hill. Sadly, the real Filene's Basement is closed, with a pale substitute. Check out the gravestones at the Park Street church cemetery too. Have a great trip!!

  3. May I suggest a lobster roll at Neptune Oyster http://www.neptuneoyster.com/ instead of Faneuil Hall?
Absolutely Severo's and my favorite place -- he just ate there a couple of weeks ago and was reveling in how fabulous the lobster roll is. You can get it hot (butter) or cold (mayo). Mmmmmmmm.
    Now I'm hungry.
    Have fun!

    1. Great suggestion! Thank you, Anne. Actually I like FH for shopping and drinks; the restaurants there are mediocre.

  7. I've never been to Boston. I wish I have, though. I know people who have lived there...and they all love it.

Hope to see some pictures from your trip :)

And hey...I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your lovely comments. I've had a hell of a month and you have no idea how much your comments mean to me. I smile and I laugh when I'd been crying all day.

I hope that I can be there for you one day just like you have for me. Are you on SnapChat or IG, btw? Would love to connect with you there. IG has been mediating for me. Pictures and quotes make me happy :)
