When you aren't able to live a natural life, you dream a lot. At least I do. It's fun to imagine the universe of activities out there.
I thought of parties when I happened upon this dress on a rack at Marshall's. Only $12, it is a variation of the LBD, with vertical stripes adding interest. I like how it fits and how it flares.
It doesn't appear I will ever get the chance to attend a party in this dress, but a girl can dream, can't she?
Someone asked for a closeup of the necklace, so here it is.
I'm a little embarrassed that the necklace isn't centered,
but that's what happens when you take pictures alone.
I LOVE this dress on you! The silhouette is so flattering. This is one of my favorite looks from you so far :-)ReplyDelete
I'm sure the right party will come along some day, until then there is no shame in dressing up pouring yourself a cocktail and having your own party with the ladies from Sex in the City. The dress looks cute too :)ReplyDelete
How cute is that dress! I adore the snake-print insets. It's super flattering, and I love the sleeves.ReplyDelete
I think that sounds like a wonderful dream. I dream about having a book club with ladies (and gentlemen!) who enjoy eating tasty foods and talking about nerdy books. Alas, the closest I got was having lunch with a classmate the other day. It was still fun though!
Oh! I totally forgot to mention, your make up looks great!ReplyDelete
That's such a cute dress! You can always have a party at your place and dress up :)ReplyDelete

Some day, we'll plan a great blogger meet up where you can wear your little black dress! I think Melissa (Working Mom's Closet) has a similar dress, at least I remember loving it before I saw it on you! (And I still love it now!)ReplyDelete
great dress! I would have bought it for $12. I like the necklace too -- can we see a close up? I mean, it looks like circles but maybe it's just oval beads (I don't think I'm describing what I see the right way here.)ReplyDelete
Lovely cute dress!! And I love the little wildness that the stripes represent! I'm practical like Tanvi! Have your own party! Gather all your friends who know about Ally and do a fancy presentation!! I know I'd come if I could!! :)ReplyDelete
Oh, I like the flare! What's to stop you from cranking the music up and letting loose?ReplyDelete
When you wish upon a Star..makes no difference who you are...anywhere your heart desires Your DREAMS will come true....ReplyDelete
POKE POKE POKE POKE...Ahemmmmm!!!!!

You look great!ReplyDelete
Happy weekend wishes :)
Thanks for the sweet comment on my blog. I saw your email as well and will reply a little later. The sassy address is the best to corresponde on as the other I don't see over the weekends.
Your dress is super cute! Hope you have a fabulous day :-)
That dress is absolutely lovely on you and I'm liking the bronze shoes and chunky choker.ReplyDelete
As Terri says, what's to stop you partying at home. I'll raise a glass in your honour. x
You should throw a party at your house and invite everyone in your life who loves and supports you. You know all your blog friends are mentally raising a toast to you. :)ReplyDelete
You look beautiful. I love a good LBD, and the stripes add great visual interest. My necklaces are usually crooked too, even when I have someone else take the pictures.
Never say never ... AND this does fit beautifully.ReplyDelete
I think I've said it before but , you have really nice legs :)
That is an Amazing dress!! You look Great in it. This may be my favorite look!ReplyDelete

I wish that you could get dressed up and go to parties. :( It is so sad that you can't. I hope that you get the opportunity, someday. You are way too gorgeous and hot! I love this dress of yours. LBDs are so classic, and the details really differentiate it from the others.ReplyDelete
Love it. If you came to visit me, we could go to parties with you dressed however you want. San Francisco is the best place to be who you want to be without haters hate'n!ReplyDelete
I adore this dress and you look so happy. Some day you will get to experience that happiness outside of your home. I just know it.
Love the panel detailing. I'd love to meet you at a party Allie and over a cocktails chat away- with me telling how great you look in your LBD!ReplyDelete
This is a beautiful dress! And such a great find for only $12 dollars. I love stores like Marshall's for that particular reason. You can find some really great things. The accessories and bright lips really polish off the look. The necklace was the first thing that caught my eye. Such a wonderful outfit! By the way, thanks so much for your sweet comments on my blog. They really make my day!ReplyDelete

I love that necklace... and I'm still trying to figure out if I like the dress. The stripes seem plonked into the middle, with no beginning or end I can make sense of. But they really do make you look curvier... hmmmReplyDelete
I love this dress on you - rar! You look so curvy and cute!ReplyDelete
