Female Life

Let talk fantasy!  We recently explored mine.  Now let's hear about yours.

What do you dream about?  Do you wish you went to your high school reunion and everyone envied your life?  Do you wish you went on vacation and had a torrid love-affair with George Clooney?  Do you wish you walked a runway in New York City?  Do you wish you won the lottery?  Do you wish your kids cleaned the house?  What do you dream about?

Let's share some fun ideas.  Use your imagination!

What Do You Dream About?

  1. I dream about owning my own home and having a shoe room Lol! I am trying to make it a reality by July 15th if the appraisal on the house went well and if my loan officer knows what he is doing Lol!
I guess really....as far as Big Dreams go... I would like to #1 Be a fashion designer or #2 Own my own Mortuary. I have always wanted to be a mortician...that IS if I was unable to be a fashion designer.

  2. I don´t want to be rich so no lottery for me.
I am already a millionaire on things that cannot be bought, but I have a dream.
I dream of travelling the whole world visiting my friend bloggers.
    Wouldn´t it be wonderful???

  3. My dreams are a bit restricted lately... I wish my country could be saved, I wish I could turn my jewellery making into a full job, I wish we had our own sweet house with a small garden and I wish I could meet you (and all my blog-friends).

  4. I wish this city had a better pool of job applicants to draw on! The reputation I have built up is great, and referrals are strong, but my inability to provide enough staff is holding me back! I dream about having a line running out my door of intelligent, compassionate, cool characters who are willing to do this job right. I try not to talk about my job too much, but it means so much to me, and consumes a lot of my life, and that would just make my life so much easier. I'm tired of trying to turn 5 sows' ears into 10 silk purses.

I also wish my hair would grow long, thick, and strong. :P And fast!! And I wish we were done with home improvements.

  5. I dream about getaways in the wilderness. Just me and my camera. That and motorcycle trips across the USA. Again, with camera. Really, I'd just like a little time to do what I want to do when I want to do it. Life has just been too hectic of late.

  6. I think my main fantasy is going to Paris. I've seen so many movies and read so much about the city, I kind of feel like I've already been there.

  8. Hi,
I never wrote here before but I'm following your blog in the last months:) really like the way how you think. And I wish I could have so pretty legs like your:)
But don't go to sentimental way...

One of my big dream is to travel all around the world, to be a good photographer one day. And one more...to move into a house with all my childhood friends and just live together as a happy family:) big dreams...

  9. I have just returned from a career coaching seminar for women, where I re-heard a lot about the glass ceiling, about adjusting to stereotypically "male" (competitive, boasting,... ) behavior codes within a business team hierarchy, and about figuring out how to not under-sell my talents, so right now I'm dreaming of making it to the top without losing my ideals or my personality along the way! Recommendations?

  10. I don't necessarily want to be rich but I would love to not worry about money so I can do everything I want to do with my kids and not have to work and YES, TRAVEL all around the world. I guess that does require to be rich but you know what I mean.

  11. Geez I am so lame I can't think of much. I would love to travel more for sure, and I would love to meet some more blogging friends! I also really want to meet Rivers Cuomo and the rest of Weezer, but I think I would be so freaked out I wouldn't know what to say. :P

  16. I'm so glad you explored your dream!

For me, just traveling more... and making more time to read and enjoy being outside. Work is crazy and I definitely dream of downtime.

  17. You know me. I want to run away and join the circus. But my time has past. Doing local performances with my aerial stuff will have to do. And it does make me so very happy.

My big dream is to travel the world and not have to worry about finances. I think that's what I'd wish for if I had a fairy godmother.

    xoxo,
    Tracy

  18. I live with my head in the clouds so I often make up fantasy lives. I would love to be living in California (sun and warmth all year round please!) working as a fashion entrepreneur- whether that be owning my own boutique or doing image consulting. I would love to work part time and spent the rest of my time volunteering and giving back to the community. This will hopefully become a reality soon as my bf wants to move to San Fran in the next year or two! :)

  19. My dream is to travel, just as Sacramento suggested, and to WRITE travelogues rather than read them. Either that or pursue a PhD in American Studies/history.

  20. I wish I had a published book. I wish I had a job that let me travel but also let me settle where I wished. I wish I were I braver person.

I'm off to read your last couple of posts. It seems like I missed so much here. I promise to be around more in the future...

  24. I want to be a designer creating my own line of ethnic inspired clothing and housewares and sell them from anthropologie-esque concept stores and webshop.

Also I want to spend my summer-fall in Canada and winter-spring in Bangladesh.

I want to be able to give atleast 1/2 of my income every year to make a wish foundation, world food program and wwf.

    That's all really. :)

  25. I'm a bit behind, so I'm gonna have to do some catching up on this comment. Here I go!

First: The prom post was AMAZING! I especially liked the floor length dress and the shots where it was fanned out all around you. That you got to do your photos for the post outside was the icing on the cake. It also made me think how much I take for granted being female...proms, sweet sixteens, quincineras, weddings...they're all designed to give a woman a day of extravagance that male counterparts never truly get but I suppose they don't want. In your case wanting it but not being able to have it has to be tough. I'm really pleased you got to live out your fantasy if only in the basest sense.

My dream is relatively simple. I didn't have a good childhood. My father was a drug addict, we got beaten, and when my mom finally did manage to get us the hell out, there was never enough money. It made me an interesting person, for sure. But my dream is that my kids are boring as all hell - that they know their mother and father love each other, that they never have to worry about being hurt, and that they never want for anything. Really, truly, that's all I want from life.

  26. I often dream about wandering. The idea of being able to move around freely on my motorcycle, to wherever the mood strikes, is my greatest fantasy.

  27. Great post, Ally. I'm lucky to be one of the few people who already are living their dream. I am surrounded by the people and animals I love, have a good relationship with my family, and live in a place I've always wanted to live. The rest is just nitpicking -- owning my own house, business growing even bigger and stronger, etc.

But my #1 fantasy has always been to fly. Ever since I was little, I've flown in my dreams --but after I wake up I can't. What a letdown!
