Joy

Downsides to being #trans are extensive. But an upside is the intense joy that can be found in small pleasures.

  1. I share that same intense joy too Ally and funnily enough I painted my toenails yesterday evening. Aren't we lucky that we are able to enjoy pleasures like this.

IMO, there's a lot to be said about enjoying those moments in life.

  3. Painted toes, and sheer hose! I love it! I tend to abstain from toenail polish in the winter months, but it is immensely cheering, isn't it?

  4. The little things are what make life worth getting through to get to the big things.

I love getting the glimpse inside your world.

  5. Many your sources of joy deepen and multiple all the more with each fresh sunrise, my friend.

PS: I have a tradition stretching back at least to my teens, of painting my nails pink each year for my birthday. It's one of those traditions that came about organically and not from one standout event, and which adds its own extra jolt of joy to my "cake day". :)

  6. You have nice-shaped toes! My nails are not such a nice shape. It's nice to have these little secret things that give us joy. I like to think of you sitting at your desk, scrunching your toes in your shoes and gleefully thinking of their cheerful pinkness! This is what I feel like when I've secretly dressed up as a character for school but no one (usually) realises!

  7. Yup, it's the little things. I wish I wasn't too lazy to paint my toenails in the winter!
