When I discover something fun, my instinct is to share it. Yesterday I took my good friend Janeen to a Devils hockey game and she had a blast. She'd never seen a hockey game before so I had to explain the basics.
Doesn't she look happy?
How fun! I've never been to a hockey game before either, might be fun to check one out.
I'll take you! They're exciting.
Old Canadian joke: "I went to a fight last night and a hockey game broke out" 🙂
That used to be true but hockey has made serious, long efforts to reduce fights and violence in its games. That almost never happens any more.
That was certainly my experience watching the Philadephaia Eagles in the 90s. That and being subjected to a traditional Philly cheese steak.
Ha! Philly is its own animal. :)
Yes, she does look happy. I have never been to a hockey game either. Have a lovely day!
You, too, Ivana.
My first live hockey game experience was when I was seven years old (seeing as I'm Czech, that wasn't too early) and my most vivid memory from that day is that my brother, four years old at that time and nearly apoplectic with excitement, screamed so hard in support of our team that his face wasn't red, but deep purple. People were turning their heads, and that doesn't happen too often when there are shouting people all around. Thankfully he survived.
Wow. That's a reaction. Some people get too excited at games!
I have never been to an NHL game before, just local hockey (the Victoria Royals and its predecessors). L and I planned to go, but the weather was so bad, we couldn't get off the island - the seaplanes were grounded and the ferries weren't running. Who won?
The Bruins. :( You should go see a game.
She definitely looks happy! I'd love to go to a hockey game one day. :)
I'll take you!
Ah, how lovely of you! She looks very happy! It looks big there!!!
That's awesome, Ally! You have such a big heart and giving spirit. At the risk of losing my Canadian citizenship for saying this, I have actually never been to a professional hockey game. Plenty of local/minor league ones though, so hopefully that's enough to keep me from having to immigrate. :DAutumn Zenith 🧡 Witchcrafted Life
No?! You're at risk of losing your citizenship. :)
