My Halloween Costume!

 Here it is!

What are you dressing up as this year? Send me a picture and I'll post it on Halloween.

  1. That is FIERCE, I am digging that coat!

No costume for me, I work on Halloween. But my nephew is dressing up as Beast Boy from Teen Titans Go. If you've never heard of it, check it out. It's a kids show but one adults would totally love.

  2. That is so fun! I love the coat too! Could you draw (with eyeliner, so it washes off) some of Harley's tattoos on your torso and face? Or maybe find some temporary tattoos? It would really make the look!

What an awesome outfit! Well done, Ally!

  3. Cute outfit! And glad to see you remembered the baseball bat!

Gotta live vicariously through you since I'm not dressing up this year. Love the idea of adding fake tattoos like mentioned above. Also: wondering if you can pick up a cheap pyramid studded belt? She wears one sometimes and it would really bring me back to my "punk" days as a 13 year old. Hahaha

  4. Love it! Very Harley. She's one of my favorite comic characters. And a doctor! The coat and red sequins are perfect for this look.

Halloween is all about getting the chance to be some else for a night.

I'm going to be "Party Poison" a comic character by My Chemical Romance band's singer Gerard Way (also of Umbrella Academy fame but different comic!). The character designs were also used by the band during their danger days album.

While I was a middling MCR fan (a fan, but not Super Fan), my dad is still one. He's doing an outfit from their black parade album. So we're both being different eras of Gerard Way.

  5. Harley Quinn! Super identifiable, great job! I love your variation!

No new costume for me this year. Just don't have the time/energy. Also, looks like another low key Halloween for me. (I do miss having parties... Maybe when my house is built!)

    1. After your house is built and COVID is a memory, everyone plans to go to your place for endless parties!

    1. Then you should watch "Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey", a movie that came out early this year with Margot Robbie. It's amusing.

  7. Great take on the Harley costume. love the shorts paired with a red cropped top and booties. I bet it is fun to dress up like her. She's such a crazy character.

  8. Wonderful take on this now classic Batman character. You're channeling Harley's wild, bold, impetus, and playful nature soooo fabulously!

  9. I can't work out what your coat print is- it looks like you are on fire or have lights or something- either way, it is very cool! You look really good- an excellent effort with the costume- HOW do you get into those tights though- I just need to LOOK at them to make a big rip in them! I will try to remember to send you a pic of a costume!

    1. The coat was a single color and I painted it with four different-colored tubes to create a splatter-effect.

The fishnet stockings are an illusion: the "fishnets" are painted onto a normal pair of pantyhose. That makes them easy to wear and unlikely to rip like normal wide fishnets.

  10. Looks great! Have to admit being a shoe diva - I love the boots! I'm not dressing up this year, I usually dress up and greet kids at our door, but this year I'm not in the spirit of it. I may wear my red boots that day though!

    1. There's nothing stopping you from wearing the boots! "These boots are made for walkin', that's what they're gonna do..."

Love Halloween parties but sadly there will be none this year because of obvious reasons.

    1. Of course. That's sad -- but we should still dress up!

  12. Nailed it!! Great job. I still don't have a costume...I just don't have the energy to come up with anything. All I want to do is eat Halloween candy. LOL.
