One of the fun things we did up in Toronto was play dress-up. After dinner Saturday night, we retired to Suzanne's comfortable house where we tried on clothes, laughed and took pictures. Suzanne, being naturally bossy, took the helm as Woman In Charge (WIC). The WIC applied my makeup -- marvelously! -- and did photography for both Patti and me. Suzanne has good photographic equipment, interestiong picture-backgrounds and superb skills.
Against my wishes, the WIC coaxed me into wearing clothes I didn't think would flatter me. I was wrong. She was right. I'm honest enough to concede this.
I wore three outfits. Here's the first. Thoughts?
So sultry! You are burning up my screen.ReplyDelete
Hire her as your stylist, stat!

She did a GREAT job dressing you up and doing your makeup! You look fantastic! I want her to do my makeup, lol!ReplyDelete
Just get on a plane to Toronto!Delete
Amazing. I learned my lesson and have literally wrote posts about trying stuff on you don't like bcuz sometimes... We're wrong!!! Lolol I learned this lesson, too. It's a great thing to be wrong about. You look amazing and I think I need a WIC woot woot!ReplyDelete
Yes, she was right. Love the hot pink, and the red hair.ReplyDelete
She was absolutely right. The color. The Fit. The STYLE. Everything. You look marvelous. Totally coveting that wig :)
Killer dress, and your hair/make-up are excellent. This dress works because it doesn't fight with the shape of your body (which I know is straight up and down). The straight cut actually adds and accentuates your curves.ReplyDelete
What a wonderful treat! I would totally be the WIC if I got my hands on you! You know I'm a bossy one, hee hee.
I want to be your mannequin, Sheila! You'd teach me a lot.Delete
This is such a nice color on your skin and like Sheila says, that dress totally works. I am SO happy you were able to play dress up and BTW the make up is really really good.ReplyDelete
This was such a great new experience for me.ReplyDelete
Yes, I know I was a little bit bossy...ha ha! But I think the results speak for themselves.
We all have preconceived ideas about what will "work" on us and what won't. 50% of the time we are wrong. Just proof that one always needs to try on items to give them a chance.
I'm glad you like the photos. I think they turned out great considering all of it was a first for me too.
You're the director; I'm the actress; and our show is a hit!Delete
Love this one. Beautiful shade and I always like dresses with interesting collars. Would like to have a dress similar myself.ReplyDelete
OH SUCH FUN. I remember our clothes swap in the hotel in Vancouver. And I remember trying on Anja's clothes in The Netherlands with Sylvia, Suzanne and Anja. Which was less fun for me (I thought, or I was a spoil-sport) as I didn't like the clothes on me.ReplyDelete
You however, look very good in this dress.
GORGEOUS photos!!!! So glad you had fun and that you had a WIC to direct the proceedings!!!ReplyDelete
You loo great! I think that color looks good on you. Your trip sounds so fun and you seem like you are having a blast. WIC, hahaha Love it!ReplyDelete
Suzan is the WIC for a very good reason!ReplyDelete
You look fabulous, love the dress and glamourous vibe !
She has major skills .
That is a great dress and it does wonders for you and she did an outstanding job on your hair and makeup. I am jealous.ReplyDelete
You look divine!!!! That hair style and colour reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally suits you!!! xxReplyDelete
You look great in pink :)ReplyDelete
Wow!! You look amazing. I hope you were feeling as joyful as you look. I'm glad your WIC talked you into trying new things because it flatters you very wellReplyDelete
