Newark is a town in our county (just down the river in fact) and one of the local university's has Newark Hall named after it.
Brits love a play on words and if that includes some non rude rudery, even better. Hence a few locals wearing hoodies with "Get Newarked" given its an anagram for quite a strong swearword.
