Ruffles

This outfit started with ruffles. I saw a cute top in a discount-store and conceived an outfit around it. Then I looked for a skirt that complemented the ruffles' femininity and found one.

I like this look. What do you think?

  1. Lovely photos Ally, that is a cute top indeed. I'm a big fan of ruffles and I'm loving that top.

  2. I think this is one of your best outfits EVER, Ally! The ruffled shoulders accentuate your waist (which looks smaller because of the exaggerated shoulders), and that skirt is the perfect length on you. I might have tried a thin belt (maybe gold, white or green) over the waistband of the skirt to emphasize the waist even more, but that's very minor (and a "me" thing). Your accessorizing is perfect - the necklace is *chef's kiss*. Great shoes - love a metallic as a "neutral."

    1. Thank you, Sheila. Your feedback is something I value. I agree with you about the thin belt; the only reason holding me back is my belts are all in storage and unavailable to me right now.

  3. I agree with Sheila. This is one of your best looks ever. The necklace paired with that sleeve shape is so complimentary. I love the metallic shoe. Very flirty-cute and very feminine. I think it suits you very well and is such a fun top.

    1. Thanks, pal. I wasn't sure how it'd turn out but the outfit works for the very reasons you cite. That's why we need to explore new possibilities! I hope you're feeling better.

  6. Is there a touch of the magic of thirds to your outfit? The high waist of the ditzy print shirt as two thirds, and the final third being the blouse. I think you look fab and what a lovely combo. I hope someone is taking you out for dinner - be a shame not to be out and fabulous!

  8. Oooh, I love this!
Your ruffles are so dreamy (like Angel wings!) and wow, the metallic shoes are great!! Polka dots are also a winner! I agree with Sheila. Except, I'd chose a chunkier metallic belt!)
