This is so cool! I didn't know there was a museum of glass, but I would be totally down to check it out sometime. So beautiful.
It's world-famous. Corning, the company, developed all kinds of glass products, like Pyrex and has a long history with glass. Their corporate headquarters is next door to the museum.
That's amazing. I love the stripey spiral piece. Have you seen the show "Blown Away" on Netflix, Ally? It's a glass blowing competition show (without all the attendant Drama), and it's just incredible the pieces they make...and break!
It was mentioned at the museum with some pieces from some of the show's contestants. I haven't seen it yet (but heard about it) and will check it out soon.
These are all utterly amazing, but I'm loving the second one in particular! xxx
I agree. The placard says it was made by the most talented glass-artist in the world.
Beautiful glass structures. I would love to visit this museum.
These are beautiful. I secon Sheila's netflix suggestion. I binged it!
It's so amazing what people can do with glass- just the talent is astounding! My creativity is not extended to working with mediums like this, so I'm always amazed at what people are able to do!-AshleyLe Stylo Rouge
These are so cool! Sounds like a great museum.
It is. Thanks for sharing.
Ah, such BEAUTIFUL glass pieces! I really enjoyed watching the show "Blown Away" on Netflix- it was amazing to seee what can be done with glass! I think this may be the museum they talked about on the show!
It is -- and the museum had a display devoted to the show with art made by contestants.
Genuinely gasp inducing! What stunning, diverse, creative, and boundlessly inspiring works of art. Autumn Zenith 🧡 Witchcrafted Life
