Jen just posted about her experience of my visit (here). I highly recommend taking a look at what she wrote. I'm impressed at how closely Jen observed me and our time together. She saw stuff that I didn't think anyone does -- because, in my past experiences, nobody has. This heightened perception only deepens my respect for her.
Life is hard, but friends make it sweet.
Oh wow!!! I went and read Jen's version of your visit ... She is amazing!!! And of course amazing people attract each other!!!ReplyDelete
Thank you, Lynn. You're amazing, too!Delete
Jen sounds just glorious! I'm glad you had such a great trip and that you have someone like her in your life.ReplyDelete
I hereby dub myself as Glorious Jen from now on! heehee Thank you. <3Delete
What a beautiful, observant, heartfelt post. You and Jen are lucky to have one another in your lives.ReplyDelete
I LOVED what Jen wrote. I was sad when I couldn't seem to comment on her blog to tell her so.ReplyDelete
She was very observant. It sounds like a wonderful time.
I mentioned that to Jen and she's working on enabling comments as we speak. Please go back soon and tell her your thoughts; I'm sure they would mean a lot to her.Delete
Comments are now enabled on my post about our visit! I don't know why it defaulted to not allow them. Grr! Thank you, everyone, for your kindness!ReplyDelete
A Special Visit With Ally
Thanks for introducing me to another fine blogger. I left a message.ReplyDelete
You sound like you had a blast!
So glad. xo Jazzy Jack
It's great to see from other people's eyes! thanks for showing it! and one more blogger to read for sure!ReplyDelete
I enjoyed reading your previous post, this one and also went to Jen's blog to read the other side of the story about your Atlanta trip. The sides are two, but the friendship you have is evidently something precious for both of you. It seems you had a lovely time, and also that the bond you created is stronger now...a true friend is supportive and encourages you to be yourself, just like she did. A friendship like yours is a mutual blessing, no doubt on it :) Hugs and also thank you for your super kind words on my outfit post the other day ! xoxoReplyDelete
Fashion and Cookies
Thanks, Vale. You understand perfectly.Delete
She seems lovely-- popping over to her blog right now to see what she said!ReplyDelete
I'm SO glad you have such a great friend. I'm heading over to her blog now!ReplyDelete
Both posts (yours and hers) were great and have me thinking. (You are very good at that!) I really like what she did with your makeup, but I think you are too hard on yourself and your skills. You are improving with time! I know women that have been doing makeup for far longer and are not as good as you.ReplyDelete
Thank you, pal. Yes, I probably am too critical of my efforts. I focus on them so intensely and wish they were better.Delete
Its just so so wonderful to have good friends like that in life! And especially those kind of friends who sometimes see more than we do ourself. These people are the most precious because they can tell us that we are on a wrong path or on a right path even before we notice it ourself. We should all take good care of those people in our lifes :)ReplyDelete
Sending you much love!
I just read Jen's take on the visit. So wonderful on every level. I'm so glad you have Jen as a friend.ReplyDelete
I'll be heading over to Jen's blog to read her post. You're such a beautiful person Ally that we can't help just loving you. I also wanted to thank you for the gorgeous card - I love it! Thanks for thinking of me. I've not posted anything in ages as our Post Office have had so many strikes and there is post for August last year that I have still not received.ReplyDelete
Hope you have a magical day
There really is nothing better than people who truly get you.ReplyDelete
Friendship is a a gift unto itself, undoubtedly, but having a friend who sees you so very well they could almost be called a soulmate friend, were there such a term, is beyond amazing and I truly couldn't be happier for you both and the beautiful, poignant bond you share.ReplyDelete
Just beautiful. I popped over & read her post & couldn't stop smiling. That post was the picture of acceptance. And friendship. And love. Thank you for sharing it--a highlight to my day.ReplyDelete
Isn't it amazing how some people are just. simply. good.ReplyDelete
And how some notice things we try to hide or others just won't bother noting. Amazing to hear you have such a friend in your life!
Oh where oh where is my comment!?????????????????????????????????????????????? I came back to check for a reply and it is not here! I HATE my phone/computer/device I used!!!!!ReplyDelete
I originally said I am so glad you were able to have this time with Jen and embrace your true self and be loved for it.x
