During my stroll, I spotted a stuffed panda. An adorable creature whose eyes met mine. The second we saw each other, we bonded. I knew that guy was coming home with me. And he did. His name is Pandy.
Pandy and I live together. He's quiet and easy to get along with. He eats bamboo and watches The Animal Planet.
Recently, when I was wearing my colorful butterfly wings, Pandy confided that he's always felt more colorful on the inside than he looks on the outside. He said his black-and-white exterior doesn't match his techno-color heart. I'm no stranger to that concept and quickly realized Pandy wanted to wear my wings. It was important to grant his wish so I did.
Here he is, in all his glory. Doesn't Pandy look grand?
I try to connect with my inner child sometimes but she is ADD and it's hard to catch her. I'm glad you caught yours.
ReplyDeleteAww Pandy is great! Now Pandy can spread his wings too :)
ReplyDeletethis is the cutest thing!!
ReplyDeleteOh I love Pandy! He is the cutest! And I love the wings!
ReplyDeletePhew! I'm glad I'm not the only one that can hear my stuffed animal talk to me. ;)
ReplyDeleteAww so cute! Pandy is adorable. I still have my stuffed bunny Armaru somewhere.
ReplyDeleteHi Ally, I've been conspicuously absent for a couple of weeks, and wow you've been busy. So to catch up....
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary, glad you enjoyed your helicopter ride, they are so much fun, if you enjoyed that I'd suggest a ride in a glider, that is the best experience I've ever had (besides maybe, riding the baby bike).
You ask some pretty awesome questions, and while I dont always comment I love reading your blog. Ok so on the popularity thingy, and this is why I often dont comment, I was always a loner and still am, I have one friend that I would call a friend and love it that way. I'm almost painfully shy tho I've learnt to cover that with a smile and small talk at work. So while I dont always tell you how much I love coming to visit you here it's true, I love coming to visit you here.
Because you have panda's with butterfly wings ... omg where else could I find that?!?!?
And I love it when you comment on my blog, you always make me feel so good .. thank you :)
What a sweet message. Thank you, Brenda. And, yes, this is the only blog featuring a panda with butterfly wings. :)
DeleteThank you for introducing us to Pandy! You are so generous to share your wings, and I love Pandy's expression of joy.
ReplyDeletePandy does indeed look grand. Somehow this post reminds me of the Velveteen Rabbit. Would it not be wonderful if we could turn ourselves inside out momentarily? I suspect that the world would change significantly...
ReplyDeleteAw, I love Pandy + his new wings! Erich + I have a panda collection over here as well: Patches, Bebe Panda, + one we never named! We had a kitten named Panda that died last year, so they are near + dear to our hearts. Glad to know we have something else in common!
ReplyDeleteLord yes,he looks gorgeous and oh so happy!
ReplyDeleteI've a small panda, given to me years ago by a good friend at university. I called him Clovis, after Saki's character.
I am five years old when it comes to stuffed animals. I still carry my frog Liberty with me to every hospital appointment and procedure that I have. He has been with me for about 15 years now.
ReplyDeletePandy sure is adorable. I love the butterfly wings!

Awwwww so cute :)
ReplyDeletePandy looks fab.
I have some of my dolls and stuffed animals from when I was a kid. I take them out for Christmas and dress them up in festive clothes and they sit on the couch or by the Christmas tree during the holiday season :)
Pandy is so lovely, especially showing his true colours! :) I still sleep with a teddybear that my Mum gave me, helps me feel closer to my family when I'm homesick!
ReplyDeletePandy looks just as comfortable on the back of your bike as he does in the butterfly wings. That takes confidence! :)
ReplyDeleteHow lucky is Pandy to have you in his life ... he looks thrilled with the butterfly wings ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh, that cute little smile... so precious :)
