New Items

You may recall that my new friend Jazmin gave me some clothes recently.  I decided to take a few for a twirl.  The top and skirt are both from her.

The patterned tights were a find at Kohl's.  I received a $10 giftcard in the mail and the tights were only $8, so I consider them free!  I love the gold thread weaved into them.

By the way, today is Jazmin's birthday!

  2. Lovely lovely blouse....I'm not as experimental with tights anymore. I just can't make them work for me in anything other than the most basic neutral. You pulled it off though! BTW, is that a new wig? How do you like the hair longer? ~Serene

  3. We saw those tights at Kohl's and loved them. Patterned tights make the colder months much more fun. Your skirt is very flattering too. Love the bottom of it. Makes you want to twirl and dance :)

  11. Thanks, guys. I appreciate and learn from your observations.

Yes, I believe my outfits are getting a little better -- not from the clothes themselves but from the mental calculations I make about putting different things together.

And I believe you're right that I'm more "comfortable" dressing this way. With experience comes ease. I've noticed, getting dressed, that I now feel more relaxed and less anxious about not knowing what to do or how it's going to come out. Dressing regularly has been a huge help to me -- and the excitement of showing you guys my outfits fuels my enthusiasm. So you deserve lots of the credit!

  14. Love the patterned tights! Is there a little sparkle woven into the pattern? I have so many pairs of tights. This is a great outfit for a holiday party.

By the way, I'm really liking you with the longer hair.

  19. I have a similar pair of tights - that by the way I have not worn in a while...
I like that first picture of you sitting down, looks like a casual shot of a gal asked to smile while in the midst of a conversation.

  21. I've been reading your blog for a little while, but have yet to comment :-)
I just wanted to say that there's something about this particular outfit that seems particularly "you". I don't know if it's because it's perhaps one of the first outfits I've seen you wear that you could walk straight out the door and into the office and be completely work appropriate, of it's your smile, or even your great legs being accentuated by the tights...anyways, you look GREAT!
