Well, they're here. We're in the midst of the holiday season. For some, the frenzy of shopping, socializing and battling crowds frays nerves; for others, it's a time of joy.
I'm spending the beginnings of my holidays sick as a dog. I've been watching a Castle marathon and badgering the Taller Half to do the chores I'm too sick to do.
I have agreed to many get-togethers later this week, but I'm taking it easy until then. It should prove to be a fun week provided I can knock this cold.
I love the holidays! I am so excited to see my family on Friday and ride the tram to see all the Christmas lights as we do every year. Then squeeze into my Grandparent's tiny house together and eat dinner :-). This year there will be 38 of us!
I am super stressed right now! Only half of my shopping is finished and nothing is wrapped. Once Christmas Eve comes, all will be well, but until then it's crazy at my house :)
I'm doing okay! I bought my gifts way back in November, which is great because A) I can't afford them now, and B) the stores are packed with loads of people, most of whom are coughing and choking. Germs. Yuck. School stressed me out more than anything...and now that that's over...I'm great!
It's chaotic, I tell you Christmas is supposed to be about merriment but some people forget. The malls are so packed you can't walk more than 2 MPH without stopping, some items sold out (at M.A.C) lol
From Thanksgiving to the week of Christmas I'm super excited about the holiday season. Then around Dec 22 a funny thing starts happening. I get burned out and I just want it to be New Years already. I guess I get anxious for a fresh start (all those cookies will do that).
I was expecting SNOW this Christmas since we spent last Christmas in South America, but nothing yet. Other than that I've been avoiding the mall like the plague and DIYing as much as I can :)
We have been out & about all day! The crowds were crazy today but I must say, I didn't mind it too bad!!!!
