Looking Back At This Year

Amid the holiday hubbub, I want to pause for a second and reflect on the year that's coming to an end.  There are less than three weeks left of 2011.

This was the best year of my life.  And that's saying a lot when the reflection comes from someone with 54 years under his belt.

This year, I realized lifelong dreams.  I grew as a person and found fabulous new friends.  I explored femininity deeper than ever before.  I expressed myself in fun, interesting ways.  My skills at photography, writing and blogging improved dramatically.

The vehicle for all this, of course, is my blog.  In its second year, the blog grew stronger and became a greater focus of my life.  I devote many hours to creating interesting content, all of which are pure joy.

I'm especially proud of three posts that took sizeable effort and courage.  The Prom Project accomplished a major goal for me.  Leggings With A Twist was an artistic achievement.  And my Motorcycle Ride In A Dress was fearless comedy.

Heck, I even took my clothes off for you people!

I hope you enjoyed coming along for the ride.  :)

  9. I adore you. And I'm so happy that we found each other through Blogger. (Actually, I think it was more of me stalking your fabulousness, hehe).

I had not seen that nude photoshoot post and I must say, you are not only brave, but a beautiful person inside and out.

I have a feeling if I ever got to see your closet in its entirety, I would pass out from envy. ;)

Cheers to another year of blogging! xoxo

I have been meaning to tell you, you have to check out this blog:

She is very young but writes like a professional writer. Very interesting and totally not fashion related by the way. I came across it cause she visited and commented on my blog a few times.

  13. What a year- it's amazing how something as simple as a blog can so dramatically change our lives (how we write, take photos, and best of all become part of a wonderfully supportive community!) I hadn't seen the fashion without clothes post before- just stunning!

  19. One part of me wants to shed a tear that you have had to hide your real self for so long, the other part is delighted that you have had such a wonderful year. My wish for you is a wonderful 2012 and that you continue your wonderful blog. I just read your prom post and it was lovely and so good of you to donate the dresses to make another girls dream come true.
