This is me, half a century ago (1961). The funny thing about looking at this picture is how much I still resemble my younger self. Same eyes, same crooked smile. Same attitude toward life.
And ya gotta love the decorations on the vest. I cared about fashion even then.
Do you have any childhood photos? If you do, we'd love to see 'em. Post them on your blog and let us ooh and aah over how cute you were. :)
You were a very Handsome little boy and are still very handsome as an adult!
ReplyDeleteSuch a dapper kid, you were! :) Well dressed and smart!!!
ReplyDeleteI am sure you saw my baby picture. I have only one from when I wasn't even ONE! :P Here!

Nice picture.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely photo. My parents have all my childhood photos so I will have to see if they can find one and scan it in for me.
ReplyDeleteOddly, I've been trying to pry some of the childhood photos out of my mother's hands to scan them for the blog. She seems very reluctant to part with them, even temporarily.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a cutie!! And you're right about the smile! Childhood pics are sooo nice to share! Kisses buddy! :)
ReplyDeleteAwwwww how cute! Love love love you shared this. Thanks. : ) xxx

ReplyDeleteAWEEE... My initial thought when I read the first sentence was.."you're over 50?!" No way. You look good ;)
ReplyDeleteYou're baby picture is way cute. The vest is adorable too.
I'm 53, Ashelle. I have t-shirts older than some of you...
ReplyDeleteI'm lovin' the little bowtie! And let's not forget the adorable smirk.. I love looking at childhood photo's!

ReplyDeleteAwwwww how very cute !
ReplyDeleteAnd I have to admit, there is a true sense of fashion in that vest :)
So cute, and I love that you have stayed true to your mischeivous spirit!! Long live your innate fashion sense!
ReplyDeleteI think I've only posted one childhood photo on the blog before, but I have scads of cute ones!! Whatever I thought about my looks in high school, I was one damn cute little kid. heehee Maybe I can find some where I was dressed to the nines in my crazy childhood outfits I put together. I've been saying forever that I want that verve back! Crazy colors and patterns, no holds barred.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, you do still hold the same expression and smile...so sweet! As always, I can see the little girl in there behind those eyes.
You were one of the cutest kids EVER. I cannot get over it. So adorable. And I don't even like children. So this is a huge compliment.

ReplyDeleteIt's so funny to look at this picture you posted and see that you really do make the same facial expressions now! I believe that's a good thing, though. It means you're consistent :)
If you have any other photos from back in the day, I hope you consider sharing them too!
Such a cute photot. I have to scan some old childhood photos to get them in digital format.

You were ah-door-bell! So cute. And still, so very cute. That crooked smile is the best accessory of all time.

Replying to your recent comment that I have good taste: I'm very flattered you think so but really it was the women 30, 40, 50 years ago that had impeccable taste and passed on their clothes that they took such wonderful care of so that they can still be worn today.
ReplyDeleteYou do not look 53! That's insane. You are adorable, that smaile amkes me think you were a mischievous little one.
ReplyDeleteYou are the cutest kid - I love your vest decorations.
ReplyDeleteI've posted pics of myself as a kid a few times (here, with my brother: http://sheilaephemera.blogspot.com/2010/07/colourful-monday.html and here: http://sheilaephemera.blogspot.com/2010/05/style-over-years.html)
You have the eyes of an "old soul". And your smiles makes it look like you may be up to no good:)
ReplyDeletethe "bow" and the vest + the crooked smile says a lot in there! =) you were so cute, i wonder why you felt if the girls were being friendly?
