I've often thought it'd be fun to meet, in person, people whose blogs I follow. I'm hoping to arrange such a meeting in the near future with two of my favorite bloggers. Of course, you'll hear all about it.
Have you ever done this? Do you want to?
I agree! I think blogger meetups are a lot of fun! I hope to arrange some in the future too!
ReplyDeleteI'll be in NYC this summer for 2 months :)
I have done it 3 times so far and have had fun each time ... When bloggers meet they chat non stop and have so much in common it is unbelievable :)

I'd love too!! I feel like I've met A LOT of interesting and nice people and I'd like to get to know them better... I'm kind of shy and interact better in personal meetings, but unfortunately I'm too far away!! Until my blog friends decide to spend their summers in Greece, I'll just be jealous of all those meet-ups!
ReplyDeleteI would Love to do a blogger meet up! I have inquired about such a meet up in my area by emailing and commenting on Seattle blogs but got the brush off. There aren't many (or any, that I know of) nice bloggers in the Seattle area and that is sad. I don't even have one follower from Wa state.
ReplyDeleteDimi and Emma: I'd travel to visit you guys! You're special!
ReplyDeleteThe bloggers I'm planning to meet live in California and the Midwest. We're thinking of getting together in San Francisco. Planes make it possible to travel there and I think it's worth the cost.
I would love to do this. Shame I am based in the UK and lots of my favourite bloggers are in the US. I do ponder a long holiday and scheduling trips to see everyone. It would be amazing.
ReplyDeleteI've never done it, and since I stopped the fashion blog it seems like that time has passed...but I believe we did once discuss meeting up, long ago. :)

ReplyDeleteI'm really lucky that super blogger Citizen Rosebud lives near me as she has hosted blogger meet ups, one of which I have attended. It's fun to meet people you feel so familiar with in blogland! I hope you get a chance to meet other bloggers, and if you come to Sacramento Ca we have a great home grown crop!!
ReplyDeleteCool! Thanks, guys. I'm happy to travel to meet you.
ReplyDeleteAw, I feel super famous today! Blogger meet-ups are great, and I managed to do another one while I was in New York too. Even my boyfriend seems to like them, and talks about blogs with authority now (and takes the pictures).
ReplyDeleteP.S. I've got more from that day, just wasn't ready to post them today!
I do hope you are intending on coming to Ottawa ;) Because that would be awesome and you know there'd be a huge welcoming party for you with all the local bloggers.
ReplyDeleteI so wish I could have a blogger meet up but no one lives close enough! Kallie is great and this photo is precious!
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to do that... with YOU!!! And others, too. Unfortunately, there aren't very many bloggers that I know of who live in my area. Shame.
ReplyDeleteWe've done a couple in Ottawa and I love them! You can really build close relationships with the people you meet- maybe you'll come up for the summer and be our guest of honour!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for my very first ever meet up. It promises to be the most fun EVER!! I'm seriously thinking of it non stop. More to come..........
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Tracy
I have thought of it and sometimes I shy from it because I feel some of the bloggers I want to meet will be too busy or would become too popular to want to meet.
ReplyDeleteI think it's so neat - just 2 years ago I met a PEN PAL (yes pen pal) friend I had from my teens in Puebla, Mexico. I was in Mexico city for work and took the bus there and stayed with her for the weekend, I cannot tell you how very happy I was!!!
Yes, I definitely WANT to do this, but have yet to make it happen. I live rural and have only encountered one other blogger of my age in the vicinity, but our lives are fairly busy. There are two other younger ones...who tend to ignore me. Ageism?
ReplyDeleteI started my blog to keep my friend abroad updates from Norway. As time went, "met" new friend and I would have loved to meet a lot of them, but as I live on top of the world it might be a bit dificult. Love the idea.
ReplyDeleteAww! I loooove blogger meet-ups! I was trying to put a bigger one together here in Detroit but then life happened. I think I might still try to later on this summer, we wanted to open it up to anyone :D :D
ReplyDeleteIt would be fun, but I haven't run across any bloggers anywhere near me, or anywhere I'm going in the foreseeable future.
ReplyDeleteBut if you happen to be cruising to Western NY, and happen to want to visit a certain glass museum... I'd love to meet up!
I would also love to do the meet-up! I think it is a lot of fun esp that the blogosphere is what I considered my friends I talk everyday, how much more if i have the chance to meet them in person!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute pic :) I love meet ups!
ReplyDeleteOui oui! Now, come on over to Ottawa and let's do a major tweet up!
ReplyDeleteWe love you here!
besos,
ML
