Mhm, that's a lot of pink :) I have a theory about the celebrity "caste": I think especially in the US, there exists in some minds this strong belief that you are what you are because you worked hard for it - or failed to work hard enough - that everyone can become rich or famous if they apply themselves enough (the dishwasher-to-millionaire narrative, ignoring the additional factors of privilege and disadvantage that people will encounter in their surroundings). So people who are rich and famous as seen as "deserving it" and worshipped for their accomplishment, even though it's clear that apart from hard work, talent and good looks (which are a matter of luck and definition in themselves) it also helps to have met the right mentors on your way to stardom, or started out as the kid of celebrities. In my opinion this is as flawed a belief as the (corresponding?) antiquated European belief that the members of nobility were somehow nobler, purer beings by virtue of their family trees only.
I love the girly outfit!! And a belt and necklace?! Congrats for all the mixing and matching! The pants are really flattering for your figure and I adore your posing! Yay for Shy... who's not that Shy anymore! Maybe just biker? Haha :O :) :)
Give me your belt right nowww!! It's so cute! Also love the lace sleeves on the top. All of these pinks and magentas make such a fun combination. And the second picture of you is sooo cute! =)
You're colour blocking on a mission Shy! I love how you colour coodinated the belt with the pants! Two of my favourite colours in one outfit- you can do no wrong!
First of all, that belt is amazing. I have always wanted one just like it! Reminds me of Sailor Moon (my favorite nostalgic cartoon.) Indeed with your color blocking skills, it is the biggest trend right now in the fashion world and it looks great on you! Those pink pants are BAD ASS. The lace sleeves are a delicate touch to the whole outfit. I have always wanted to go to some sort of Photography museum but what we have around here is very...limited. Too bad I don't live in New York! I bet you have all kinds of things to do there!
Is your entire home minimalist? One day would you dare to share more of your home? I love shoes and seeing peoples homes, I think you learn a lot about people from their homes.
Hope you're having a fabulous weekend ... I still have tomorrow off as well ... I am so going to battle going back to work on Tuesday after a consecutive 11 days off.
Yes, Wendy, it is minimalist now -- but that's only after we substantially renovated it during the past two years. For more than a dozen years before that, it was a cauldron of wild colors (red/green/blue) and more decoration. The reason for this change is a little private so, if you want to know, we can talk off-blog.
I love seeing you in bright colors and smiling ! My only suggestion honestly speaking, I'd get rid of the belt. I like the belt just not with this combo, it drives it right into too much pink lane.
<3 pink n purple is my fav combo! I love those wide leg pink pants! And the pink heart belt! And your smile! xo
ReplyDeleteLove! And you look so happy. :)
ReplyDeleteLove it! I love bright happy colors, as soon as I saw this it made me smile!
ReplyDeleteCuuuute! I love the pink and little heart. And the smiles!
