Harmony with nature is resonance, a current to be sensed. We find it by looking closely and moving in time with the natural world.
On a hike years ago I discovered a portal. Ensorcelled, I pointed a vintage camera at the threshold and asked silver film to record its surface.
I find this photo incredibly soothing. The ripples on the water, the solidity of the bridge, the pleasing symmetry.

DeleteWhat a beautiful way to describe that moment, Ally. I love the idea of finding a "portal" in nature, those unexpected places where the landscape seems to invite us to pause and really see it.
ReplyDeleteThe viewpoint through the bridge and across the water is a wonderful scene to capture. Nature has a way of creating these little moments of magic when we slow down enough to notice them.
