Battling Back

It's been a long time since I've done an outfit-post.  That's because life knocked me down and I've been reeling.  Fortunately, I got back up before the Referee counted to ten.

To battle back, I created a fun outfit today.  I'm trying to restore enthusiasm to my spirit.  I sought a look that's playful, feminine and light.

This is what I came up with.  What do you think?

  2. I think that this is my favorite outfit on you ever. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the polka dots and the pink SO MUCH. White/black/pink is one of the best combos and you just look so sweet in it. Do you really box? I'd love to learn. It's always been a think I've wanted to do.

I'm so glad to see you're feeling better. :-D I heart you.

  3. OMG Too cute!! Especially the boxing gloves. I bet your dress up corner has some of the most amazing props. Love, love, love the bubblegum pink.

I hope you are feeling better. You're a fighter, Ally. I know you'll always get a knock out in the end!

I've missed you while you were recouping!

  5. When life knocks you down, put on your pink boxing gloves and get back in the ring! You look like you're ready to kick some ass--while still looking hot. :) Glad you're posting outfit pics again.

  6. I LOVE the shape of the cardigan over the polka dot dress - it really suits your figure and gives you lovely curves. Not so sure about the necklace - it's too close to your skintone and looks like you have some weird body modification implants, lol!

So glad to see you back and looking so radiant in pink. Give life a punch, my dear Ally!

    1. The thought of your opinion was in back of my head when I chose the cardigan. I agree about the necklace; it's what I had and I wished it was darker.

    1. It was pure fortuity -- yesterday, looking for a strap for my backpack, I walked into Modell's, a sporting-goods store. I spotted the gloves and conceived this idea. I knew they matched my cardigan perfectly. Hug to you, too!

  8. I love this! Pink and white is too cute on you. Question: have you tried that brick red/brown eyeshadow shade? I think it would look great on you.

  12. What a cute outfit! You look so happy in it. The pink is just so gorgeous with your skin tone. Sheila made me laugh with the body modification implants thing, and I realised that I hadn't even noticed a necklace. I love the boxing gloves. I think if I didn't have M.E. I would take up boxing.

  31. Polka dots and pink - you certainly know how to catch my style attention! :) Lovely, cheerful, springtime perfect combination. The combo also strikes me as something Doris Day might have sported, as it's sweet and innocent, but still very fashionable.

    Wishing you a fabulous week,
    ♥ Jessica

    1. Yes. A reader bought a wig she didn't like and gave it to me. I've been trying it out and most people think it's an improvement over my shorter hair.

  34. I LOVE THIS OUTFIT! The little cardigan top is so cute, and the polka dots are adorable. I'm a bit partial to pink as well. And the boxing gloves! Ah! So amazing. I really love that wig as well. I like the color and the waviness it has. Your makeup looks amazing too. <3

  35. I think the universe knocked a couple of us down at the same time and that feeling of reeling and trying to get back up on your feet is a really difficult one ... the referee is at 9 currently and I am still battling to get up. Your post has given me hope!!! I absolutely LOVE this outfit and the boxing gloves just finish it off ... I am happy that you are "fighting fit" again!!!! Go get em!!!
