Back To The Future

For me (hopefully), my future is female life.  My present, however, is mostly male life with brief tastes of feminine pleasure.

Often, work traps me in male-mode for days and weeks.  Finding a few hours to escape to my (female) future is hard but immensely satisfying.  That's why, today, I'm going back to the future.

I found a cute leather skirt for $7 and, best of all, it has elastic inserts.  Stretch is my friend.  Materials that expand can accommodate my odd figure.  Leather normally doesn't but, with these inserts, this skirt does.

I also picked up a bright top for the same small amount of money at the same store.  I'm combining them here with new cheap flats from Payless.  The outfit makes me happy, so wearing it is as much fun as showing it to you.

Any thoughts?

  2. Again, you have the most fantastic legs so you should definitely show them. I love the drape of the top and would love to see it on you in a green, pink or purple colour. I think those tones would really suit your colouring. I love the ballet flats with this look and your ballet pose suits them too!

  3. I LOVE you in ballet flats!! Especially those ones. I really love that top on you, too. The color is cheerful but the cut is kind of --- demurely sexy? I hope I said that right. Anyway, love it. (Fingers crossed that this works and I've fixed my commenting problem!)

  4. I was reading through the comments on my way to add mine, and lost track of what that was imagining how the outfit would work in a more jewel tone top like Shawna recommended.... oooh... purple!

  5. Your top has such a lovely neckline and the necklace plays so beautifully with it. Awesome to see you having fun, Ally - so true that when work schedules are killer, joy becomes all the more precious and important!

  6. You have legs for days!!! (Jealous!)
I love the skirt on you, great find! I'm glad you found some time to be your future self!
(And I agree with you, work gets in the way of my life too!)

  7. I love that skirt. Very sexy with the inserts/cutouts. I like the idea of you in a jewel tone as well. Rich jewel tones look good on everyone.

    1. Oh, I'd like to see that look on you too, Ally. You have such great legs and a chunky-soled shoe might highlight your ankles to a good advantage.

(Though I admit I really like you in ballet flats, too. I'm impressed because I normally don't care for them.)

  10. Yellow & black = good! I want a leather skirt too. I guess we have if not the same, then very similar glitter pumps.

  11. Love you in this outfit. Would love to see your killer legs in that skirt with dark stockings and heels! Although I do not love yellow the top certainly highlights your face and your make up looks amazing!

    Thanks for sharing yourself!

    1. Lorena, it's easy -- just become a 56 year old man and you can have legs like mine. :-)

    2. Men really do have nicer legs than women. Or at least nicer than many women. I think it's because they are more likely to be the apple body type and apples have great legs. I'm envious of your ankles. I recently learned that I have cankles. And not the kind I can fix with diet or liposuction it is how my bones are put together. Just what I need! Something else to feel bad about. It certainly explains why ankles boots don't look great on me. You could seriously rock some ankle boots.

    3. Thanks, Shawna. We work with what we've got. I keep the focus down below because that's my strength. I've tried ankle boots and they're surprisingly cute on me.

On the other hand, I have nothing upstairs except big shoulders. Finding tops that don't make me look like a football-player is hard.

    4. Your shoulders look nice bare though and lots of models are broad shouldered too. I was just reading somewhere that if you want to diminish your shoulder width to wear raglan sleeves. and obviously avoid those shoulder pads. Thankfully it's not the '80s anymore!

  13. I think this is a totally fun look! Personally, I'm loving your make-up. You've improved leaps and bounds on your lady-paint! Definitely tuned into colors that and shapes that suit you.

  14. Your make up is gorgeous. You do such a wonderful job with that. I've tried to use techniques I've watched girls do on youtube, but I just don't have a flair for it and it doesn't seem to look right on me...so I just stick to my same old same old. I wish I could experiment and look good with different eye shadows, etc.
I am dazzled by that brilliant shade of yellow. I love this color on you! Super pretty.

  15. Oh la la! The inserts in the skirt looked see-through to me at first, and I was blown away by how risque it seemed! Now that I realized they're merely flesh-toned, I'm thinking this is an excellent fancy-night skirt :)

  17. I just adore this outfit. The skirt is so fantastic (and fits you great), and I really love tops like that. Your makeup is beautiful as well. Such a fun look.
