I found a new top and skirt at a thrift-store for pennies. Literally pennies. The pieces appeal to me because of their color. A pleasing blue with complimentary hues.
I hope you're staying warm; it's cold around the country.
the blues are great, and i like that you kept the shoes neutral. also loving the shade of pink lipstick. i've always found pink to be easier to wear than red (for me, anyways!).
Love that shade of Blue on you Ally ... and what a bargain to get the outfit fir pennies. I would like to see your shirt a little more fitted ... possibly tucked in, belted or tied in front ... Just for a little shape ;-)
Hey! Sorry, I was absent for a while, I had a end-of-the-year down and even thought about closing my blog. But now I am back, full of motivaiton and new energy for the new year :) Isn't it great when you go into a thrift shop and get out again with almost the same amount of money in your wallet but a few nice clothes more in your bag :)??
Ally - you are totally rocking the blue! Oh my gosh I think that is my most favorite colour yet on you. I think I would have added a long gold chain necklace just to add a little sparkle. Your legs - oh my! Seriously you have the best legs and love the heels with the outfit. Perfect!!
Lovely look, and yes, you have killer legs and that skirt is perfect ! I am loving blue more and more, I almost laugh when I think that only a few years ago I sort of hated this color ! Now it's one of my favorite colors ever ! Thank you for your sweet words about my blog, you made me day. I hope we can meet up when I will finally be able to go back to New York ! Anyway since I can't stand cold weather, I will come in a warmer season :) Hugs
Fantastic shade of blue! It sings up a stylish with storm with that warm brunette wig. Don't you just jump for joy when you find a great piece like this for mere pennies at a thrift store (or anywhere?). I love hitting our local Value Village on the 50% off sale days there just for that very reason. Now granted, things rarely cost just a few pennies even then, but they typically still come in for a total song and have helped me expand my wardrobe sooo much over the years (especially the cardigan section).
Ohwow!! This is definitely one of my favorite looks of yours ever. The top is adorable, and so is the full skirt. And blue is a surprisingly fantastic color on you. Pink is *your* color, but blue is a happy second.
This is probably my new favourite outfit of yours. The colour is so beautiful and suits you well. I adore the pattern. Those new shoes you bought are doing exactly what you wanted them to.
Is that a little houndstooth pattern on your skirt? I really like this, a lot. It looks so bright and cheerful This outfit inspired me to go check my closet for blue, and I don't have very much! Perhaps I should try to change that.
Thank you so much for your kind words on my 2013 review post. They really meant a lot to me, Thank you.
Very cute outfit and you have the legs for it. I love the nude pumps, which is something I have never tried. I don't wear heels much anymore but I am tempted to get some nude low heeled pumps this spring.
That skirt is super cute!!
ReplyDeleteIt rules when you find something awesome for pennies :)! And this outfit looks perfect on you! I like the icy blue as well :)

Super cute outfit and I love that colour on you and of course your legs look killer with those nude heels.
ReplyDeleteWould love to see the shirt tucked into your skirt so that more of the skirt is shown off.
That is absolutely my favorite color blue. Excellent job thrifting!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this look, very spring-y! I think the shoes did the trick in making your legs look longer, great job :)

ReplyDeleteLove the blue. I love it when I score stuff for really cheap. I'm such a spend thrift so spending a lot on clothing really isn't an option for me.
ReplyDeleteIt's so chilly here in AZ. I have to have socks on at all times for my feet are just frozen. Brrr...
I've been wearing more blue lately too. Thankfully, it's not very cold around here.

Cute! Were they a set, because they really go together nicely!
ReplyDeleteNope. I combined them in my mind.
DeleteThis outfit, in it's lovely shade of blue, looks so pretty on you. I'm also a big fan of that delicious red romper from previous post!
ReplyDeleteOh it's warm in my little place in the world. This weekend was so hot that i got a sunburn just from being outdoors.
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful, I love the pattern on the blouse. I can't tell what that ring is, but I really like how big and bold it is.
