Happy Birthday, Megan!

Megan is one of my best friends.  She's so sweet.  And today is her birthday!  Megan's holding a virtual birthday party over on her blog, so go visit and wish her a happy birthday.

Megan invited us to dress and submit a photo for her party.  I did.  It is one from this set, which I've held off on showing until now.  The outfit contains a high-low dress that, because I'm so tall, I needed to layer over a skirt.  I like the graphic black-white scheme with a pop of color.  What do you think?

  13. Lovelovelove! You know black and white looks are a balm to my style needs. Add a splash of color and you've got a classic pairing that can't go wrong. I love that you added the patterned tights too. A total fashion blogger outfit!

Also I got the boots I ordered with your gift today! Can't wait to start wearing them. ;) I made the most of it and managed to win two pairs on ebay with some extra left!

Thanks for an amazing birthday and being part of it Ally. This year has really been a special one for me.

  14. I love the idea of the pop of color, but I'm not as wild about the hippie-rumply fabric of the scarf paired with the smoother, sophisticated fabrics of the rest of the ensemble.

I'm crazy about the rest of this outfit!

  18. I think that looks like an awesome high-low top - what a great idea. You are color-blocked really well, and like prior commenters, the splash of red scarf is the cherry on the...icing? cake? milkshake? lol
