These grrrreat leggings put me in an animal mood. Even though I was exhausted from a week of work, social duties and a cold, I knew I had to photograph them. And, of course, they needed to be shown in the wild.
Now, doing a photoshoot outdoors takes massive courage for me. Huge courage. It requires me to stare fear in the face and decide which of us is going to win. The slightest lack of resolve could doom me to despair. I find riding a motorcycle at 140 mph less scary than wearing women's clothes outdoors.
I found a secluded spot and let my ideas go crazy. What happened is displayed below. You are welcome to express just how crazy you think I am.
Those are so fun! Very 80's.
ReplyDeleteI always feel a bit weird taking outdoor photos too (besides my backyard). I generally grab my camera, take a few quick pictures, and then jump back in my car. I don't like the idea of strangers watching me.
Not crazy at all - adorable! I love these leopard print pants and totally want a pair now! They're so fun! And you look like you are having fun, which I hope you did! Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteYes, very 80s! I think I had some like that in high school, in fact. :)
ReplyDeleteGood for you for being brave and getting outside. I feel like a bit of a fool, prancing around in my garden with my husband photographing me, but the natural light is worth it.
You look so damn cute! I'm glad you were able to shoot outdoors. Wind and sunlight are fun to work with. Love the leggings. (Breaking my IHATEBLACK+COLOR rule for them!)

Oh, I love the jump shot! And this is quotable:I find riding a motorcycle at 140 mph less scary than wearing women's clothes outdoors.
ReplyDeletethose are gorgeous! you rock them. and congrats on shooting outdoors!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute!! I know what you mean about photographing outside. I was embarrassed doing it on my own porch! I have to keep telling myself not to care what people think, but I'm still shaped by that sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI have those same leggins in gray and black. Now I wish I had the colored ones.
Have a great weekend, Rubber Side Down!
Not crazy at all. Very cute!
ReplyDeleteAh, you look like you are having so much fun, Ally! I love the leggings - they are so "you"!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, love the "long bangs" look you are sporting in the second picture; it looks very modern and suits you more than the parted bangs look.
You look so wonderful! I love the leggings and I love the fact that you summoned your courage and took your photos outside. Your great smile makes me smile and feel so happy. :)
ReplyDeleteI also have to say that I just got a chance to look back through some of your photographs and outfits a couple of days ago. I was amazed!! You have put together some really great looks! You've got a fabulous wardrobe!
I like the long, straight down bangs look too. Sexy.
So sorry you've not been feeling well. You sure look peppy today.
You look fantastic! I always feel a bit silly when people watch me during a shoot, but it looks great on the blog! :) More outdoor shoots!
ReplyDeleteAww it may take a lot of courage, but you also look like you're having such a great time. Your smile and energy is just so infectious! This outfit is very Ally.
ReplyDeleteOMG, so cuteeeee!!! glad that you had a courage so i can see this lovely pictures :)) print legging+pink blouse=perfect!! <3
ReplyDeleteIf animal print is a female rite of passage, you beat me to it by mere days! I just bought my first leopard print shoes (peep toe sling back wedges... LOVE!!). I wore them to work on Friday with a dressy jean and a dressy red shirt, and while they were barely seen at all, I felt fierce all day - very much like doing what you're doing in the fourth picture! Of course, with 3-4" wedge, I didn't dare. Glad you took the chance!
ReplyDeleteJust purr-fect! Animal prints are so much more fun when you model them outdoors. I like the action shots. When I was a kid, I hardly ever wore pink and purple because I thought the colors made me look too girlie. Now that I'm an adult, I LOVE wearing pink. Weird, huh?
ReplyDeleteIs your cold gone? New clothes always make me feel better. :)
Thanks again for the kind words on my blog.
Ally, you are so cute in these photos :-) I hope you have many more opportunities for outdoor photos without fear.
ReplyDeleteAlly, do you own other animal print pieces? If not, stock up you've got to have a scarf, purse, shoes, undies, belt, cardigan, dress, blouse and umbrella...all in an animal print!
ReplyDeleteYour leggins are too sexy!
I LOVE THIS! Especially with the athletic shoes. You should try like, a dressy/sparkly black tank top with this, too. That would be super cute. Or, at least it would be super cute in my opinion. Which means everyone else would love it, too. Or they'd just think you're insane. Details.
ReplyDeleteI'm proud of you for getting outside. SO BRAVE!
RAWRRRRR! Take more outside pics! These say, "HAPPY!"
ReplyDeleteLook at your wild thang ... out having fun. You look stunning and I love the 'fun' of the photos... as Lynne said ... they shout "HAPPY" ... I like Happy.
