Who Knows?

I experiment.  I don't know what I'm doing, so experimenting is a way to explore possibilities.  I try new colors, new shapes, new combinations.

The results, of course, are hit-and-miss.  I can live with mistakes if they teach me how to dress better.  And they do.  I study them and listen closely to your feedback.

Here's something new (for me).  Please tell me what you think.  Thanks.

  2. Love the fit of the capris and the longer wig.

  3. This is definitely a great color combo. Capris can be difficult to pull off, but they hit you at the right spot. Plus pairing the capris with the heels help elongate your legs. Well done!

  4. The pink top and green pants are an unexpected combination, but, they look great together! The heels are a really nice touch, too. Experimenting is the only way too find out exactly what you like! This is super lovely.

  5. OMG
The color combination, layering, accessories, the fit - everything is perfect.
I would wear this in a heartbeat-
Allie you have come a long way :) compare this outfit to your first outfit post !

  7. I really like the color combo. Hot pink and citron-y green are such rich colors to put together.

I personally might have picked a different jacket for that outfit. I'm not sure if it's where it hits your hip or the stripes, but proportionally a slightly longer black jacket could alter the balance of your waist/hips more effectively.

Also, maybe try a lighter peach shade lippy/balm with such a bright color against your face.

I think the shoe and jewelry choices were spot on. The necklace and bracelet with this outfit makes me think of j.crew. (And I think everyone endlessly loves j.crew lookbooks, amirite?)

I applaud you for the bold color choices, and your always-exciting foray into fashion. You definitely inspire me to let myself make and learn from mistakes.

  9. I really really really (enough really's for ya?) like this outfit. The colour contrast between the striped top and the pants is great. I would even wear black heels to tie in the vest and black stripes. Thumbs up :)

  10. I think that experimenting with colors is a great way to break through to something new. This outfit is a perfect example! I never would have thought about pairing the pink and olive green, but it looks wonderful! And I really adore those heels. Wish I could steal them!

  12. Pink + olive green can work as a color combo, as I was surprised to find out myself during the past year... I think the outfit would further benefit if you picked up the colors from the top with pink or black shoes!

  13. Nobody was more surprised than me that these colors can go together. I doubted it in my mind beforehand but then looking in the mirror, I recognized reality. I'm still not sure how or why, but they do.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, the outfit could be improved (with, as Poet suggests, different colored shoes) but I accept it as a partial success.

  14. Oh, and thanks to Alya! She gave me a giftcard to Victoria's Secret where I bought the cute striped top. I had a fun hour last week visiting the store and picking it out.

  15. Absolutely beautiful. Hot pink is DEFINITELY your colour!!! and it matches perfectly with your pants. Another option for this gorgeous top is to pair it with a pair of black pants.

Thanks for sharing this gorgeous look with us.

  16. Looking good!!!
Pink with army green was one of my favorite color combinations that I somehow forgot about. Thanks for the reminder :) I agree with poet about pairing it with black shoes. I think it would tie the cardi in more.

  17. I feel like the top and the bottom of this outfit belong to two different outfits. I think a lighter pink would go well to keep an earth-tone thing going on. Then again, I'm terrible at pattern mixing and like to wear muted colors, so I'm not the best person to ask on this one! I usually avoid neon colors or black/*insert color* striped stuff. So, yeah. What I'm trying to say is that I like all of it but the shirt.

BTW, I miss your old hair! :P

  18. I like the colors but please don't mind but I think the proportions don't work well. A loose fitting top with a belt would look better. I don't mean to criticize, just my two cents!

  20. It is a nice outfit, however I think the jacket/blazer needs to be a little closer to the hip to make it proportionate to the rest of the structure to the outfit. The colors are gorgeous btw.

  21. I agree that the jacket is a bit short, but I like the color combo. Good concept!
