This is my favorite building in the world. It's an unusually narrow triangle-shape. I took this picture at night to create an interesting visual effect.
I think it would have to be Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. I adore the gargoyles, the gorgeous interior, the shape and the history. I like any interesting and different-looking building, though.
I grew up with trips from outside Atlanta ("home") to Nashville ("grandparents") and every trip I knew I was allllmost to my grandparents house when we rounded Ellington Pkwy, the beginning of which is basically a big circular ramp, and the batman building could be seen.
What an interesting building and a beautiful photo of it.
We have many beautiful, heritage buildings in Johannesburg however our government are not very interested in looking after them. One of my all time favourites is the Rissik Street Post Office ~ unfortunately it has been standing empty since 1996 and has deteriorated terribly.
Wow shybiker it is very interesting! Looking at the photo .. looks super narrow compared to other buildings shy ... I never stopped to think about it I think I need to look further into the architectures of cities ..ah it was really beautiful picture big hug
Yes! This one! Also...Le Sacre Coeur in Paris. San Francisco and Paris. I love them both so much.
Thank you for reading and commenting on my blog, and Jenny's monthly feature! I hope you will come back soon and check out some of my other posts. If daily outfits aren't your thing, the weekend posts are always different.
This building is beyond awesome and I love this photo of it particularly. I've seen it in person (from a distance) but this photo definitely captures how remarkably SLIM it is!
There are so many buildings I think are cool, especially where I live (KCMO). Well, for example, our downtown library looks like its made out of giant books from one side. That's pretty bad ass. ;)
I love the Flatiron building in NY - locally my fave is this one: http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b389/epiac1216/Lingua%20Franca%20Photos/Pollera4.jpg I swear the picture does not do it justice... its stunning. Falling apart - but you can see the glory of its days.
What an interesting question. I think my favorite building is the Field Museum in Chicago. But not the outside. I love the winding marble staircases inside and the domed ceilings with murals of battling dinosaurs. I love all museums, really.
That is cool! I don't have a favorite building, but I do love driving through downtown Columbus (Ohio) and seeing all the buildings on the horizon. It's really pretty :) Heather
I love so many buildings. I would say that the Marques de Riscal completely rocks my world. I know many, many people aren't a fan of his work but I just love Gehry.
Richard Rodger's LLoyds of London building is disturbingly beautiful to me.
And on a less extreme note - FLW's Fallingwater is visual perfection.
The flat-iron is one of my favorites too. I also love the Chrysler Building.
On the opposite side of the spectrum, I love the old, dilapidated barns and buildings you can find throughout rural Florida. They're one of my favorite things to photograph.
i love that building as well!

ReplyDeleteMine is the (ex-bellsouth) now AT&T building in Nashville. It looks like Batman.

That's a good question. I really don't know! (Probably some of the architecture in Taos, New Mexico.)
