I cooked this concoction up in my laboratory...
For clarity, I made the outfit by putting a gold skirt on top of a LBD and slid it under a new wide belt. So it's actually three separate pieces (or four, if you count the matching shrug) and not a single dress.
I'm always trying to come up with new pose ideas. Do you like the floor poses?
Oh, I love the yellow mixed with gold! I think it's very modern and elegant.
ReplyDeleteYour sitting down poses are really cute! I love these looks. The gold in the dress is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors and the fabrics!! The only thing I'd change is the cardi. I think it adds volume to your broad shoulders and makes your torso to appear shorter than it is.. I like it that you experiment with bold colors and jewellery lately! Also love the shoes!!
ReplyDeleteLove it. Your poses are super cute. I love that smile of yours.
ReplyDeleteLove the floor poses!
ReplyDeleteCute!! I love gold and yellow together.
ReplyDeleteI love the 4th pose on the floor! ..and yellow is the apple of my eye these days...!! in fact just finished my "photoshooting" w a yellow.. i think i had some floor photos somewhere=)
ReplyDeleteThis is very modern and chic! I Love the pops of color with the yellow accessories.
ReplyDeleteFantastic idea to layer a skirt over a sheath dress. I love the yellow accessories as well. Great poses. I really need to work on mine. Thanks for the reminder. Xoxo, tracy
ReplyDeleteThis was such a cute outfit! And the pose on the floor was also supercute! =)
ReplyDeleteYes! Those are the shoes I was referring to in my last comment, so cute! I love the floor poses, you look comfortable like that. Yellow and green I think were made for each other, and that was a great way to change up a LBD. Great job on this post :):)
ReplyDeleteI love playing with skirts and dresses to make different combinations and you nailed it! I like the angles of the floor poses and I think this is one of my favourite outfits on you- love the yellow, the gold, the black and the makeup!
ReplyDeleteI really love this outfit on you and the only thing i'd like to see is maybe replacing the shoes with a yellow pair top match your accessories :)
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit! Great idea to wear the skirt + belt over the dress... especially that the belt & necklace are the same color. Poses: I'm always slightly uncomfortable with "sexy posing" because fashion editorials (and other forms of advertisement) often use these to reinforce the image of women offering themselves as passive objects of desire on display, and that's an image I don't like to have reinforced :) On the other hand you could claim to challenge that image, and that would be more than okay.
ReplyDeletePS: I absolutely agree with the way you phrased it in your recent comment. A two-sided coin (or sword?), that issue! And then there's a third option of viewing it as some sort of reclaiming - like what I suppose I do with my "traditionally feminine" and "conventionally pretty" outfits...
ReplyDeleteGreat job with the outfit. I never think to layer a skirt over a dress, but you whipped up a great looking outfit.
ReplyDeleteYou have a very coy look on your face in the floor pictures. Nicely done!
I am completely in love with the belt and the matching yellow mustard necklace. So happy I found your comment on Tinfoils Tiaras :)
ReplyDeleteI love the way you styled the skirt over a lbd. Totally creative and it looks stunning. I love the shoes too. I don't like things too 'matchy matchy' so I think if you're going to have a bold color as an accessory use it sparingly as you've done here. Puuuuuurfect!! xo
ReplyDeletei really love that skirt. and i like the floor poses but they aren't good for seeing the whole outfit :)
ReplyDeleteyou look great! love the skirt over the dress, i thought it was a top and skirt, never would have known.
ReplyDeleteyou've got such a pretty smile in the floor poses, but you've got such great legs, and they are hard to see when folded up under you :) but they are new and different, which is good!
<3 mode.

What a great color combo! I would have never thought to put gold & yellow together, but with black it totally works! *scratches head*
ReplyDeleteWhattt?? i thought this was a dress! I love it!! I love when you combine something so well that people believe that it was a dress that was actually sold that way. That's when you know you have an awesome combination and you definitely succeeded! I like the gold bottom a lot. The fourth picture is my favorite =)
ReplyDeleteI love the use of the bright yellow; this really makes it a springtime outfit. Great creative layering of the skirt and dress too!
ReplyDeleteGreat layering and the new poses are very nice. I like a lot. The pop of yellow is wonderful too.
ReplyDeleteI dig that sort of high waisted look you created. The length of the skirt is cute. I like the floor poses, your smile is very alluring.
ReplyDeleteI remember you wearing that gold skirt before.... i think you did a great job with it !
ReplyDeleteYour floor poses are one of my faves.
always trying to think up new poses
