What a stunning dress!! I love it! Looks like an amazing vintage find! You look really great buddy!!! The lipstick is a lovely shade for the dress and I think it flatters your body type very very much! Kisses :)
Thanks, guys. I've been looking for a dress like this FOREVER. I was shocked when it appeared before my eyes yesterday and I couldn't wait to show it to you.
I initially wore a contemporary necklace but quickly replaced it with traditional pearls. The dress is so 1950-ish that 2011-jewelry seemed off.
On my way home, I bought a new tube of red lipstick specifically to go with the dress-color. Does anyone else do that?
Aw, it is like Donna Reed. She's so charming, especially in It's a Wonderful Life. And I agree red lipstick definitely goes with it. I am not much of a lipstick person, but it does go well with the more vintage-y frocks.
Gorgeous dress, and it certainly is very Donna Reed. And yes, I've definitely bought lippy to go with a new dress; it's fun to have all the accoutrements with which to create a new look.
BTW I recently bought a vintage 50's dress, complete with full crinoline petticoat, and I'm dying to find an occasion to wear it. I'm certain you'll appreciate it.
Yeah, this is pretty much the best dress evaaaarrr. Where did you find it? I actually think I'm going to paint my nails a similar color tonight.
BTW, I know I'm a little late with this, but I LOVED your interview with HerCatwalk! I am so so so glad Michelle found you. I'm glad to have you in the blogosphere for many reasons, and one of those reasons is because you bring diversity to this area. It really makes the web a fun place! Today's fashion and style bloggers aren't clones of each other...and I truly appreciate that.
I love this dress!! And your red lipstick of course! I'm so happy that I'm inspiring people to wear red lips. It is a very bold color but I haven't gone out without it in forever. It's addicting. Without it, I feel so plain and naked. It also adds such a fun, vintage feel to whatever I'm wearing.
I'm so jealous of this dress! I love the emerald color and the shape is gorgeous. My favorite is the picture with the pineapple! This would also be amazing with red shoes for a Christmas party.
That dress is INCREDIBLY INCREDIBLY INCREDIBLY flattering to your figure!! The way it comes in at the waist at just that point is perfect. Not to mention the color and sheen are just gorgeous. I think the pearls were a great choice to go with it.
This green is my favorite green of all the greens in the green spectrum of green. Do you see what I'm trying to say? Like, I like this green.
This dress is major! I asked my Mom who Donna Reed is and now it all makes sense. haha. Obviously kidding. I know who she is. But you are too funny saying "click here or ask your Mom."
You look Fabulous! I used to watch Donna Reed when I was a kid on Nick at Night. This is a Very Donna Reed look and I LOVE it!

ReplyDeleteDespite the fact that it hides your killer legs I don't think I've ever seen anything suit you better. Fabulous dress and I am green with envy!
