I have watched some of Oprah's programs on greek tv. Although I must say she's a really smart woman and business-person and I admire her for that, I wasn't very enthusiastic about the content of her show. It's sad to know that she stopped though.
I definitely watch Oprah growing up I remember sitting there with my Grandma after school and literally grew up on her. In all honesty I am going to miss tuning in at 4 pm…she definitely was a great inspiration and and ICON!
I hope her new venture is a success. She had interesting shows and I watched often. But there were times where I had to not watch because she drove me insane. But, I'll miss her.
My friends mom and dad went on Oprah once about forgiving the woman who killed their daughter...it was really sad. I liked how she made people think about things they might not have before she mainstreamed it. Particularly books!
I watched long ago but not anymore...why is she ending, im so outdated.... by the way, would you care to contribute for a magazine just in case? I love to refer your Female Life...and don't worry for the illustration...you can just give a topic...
We dont have cable so I have only watched her shows here and there if I am away for work in a hotel or something. I think Oprah has really been an amazing example of leadership and compassion. She has risen from a challenging childhood and made such a huge difference in the world. Thats what impresses me about her. I know she will be doing something 10x the difference with whatever she takes on next!!
I used to really enjoy watching Oprah but I found the shows got too preachy and too celebrity oriented after a while. Fun fact about Oprah- did you know that her name was supposed to be Orpah (from the Bible) but her parents mis-spelled it? I'm not sure why I know that...
I haven't really seen much of her show but she is very popular here in Norway as well. I bet it will be quite a few months until the last episode will be shown here.
I may be one of the few people in the world that is NOT an Oprah fan It will be interesting to see what she comes up with next and if she can actually stay away from the day to day tv show. I hear her network isn't doing too well Brett
