I am in the process of exploring female life. That means that I don't always know what I'm doing. Sometimes I experiment with new fashion ideas and it is a disaster. Other times I try something new and it works out nicely. I never know until I try and this blog is where I grow from presenting ideas and hearing your reactions.
Here is a new look, with new poses. Hit or miss?
I created this outfit with three separate pieces. I had the corset for years, paired it with a skirt I bought last year, and added the shrug I acquired recently. They go together nicely, don't you think?
like pose number 1 and 3
ReplyDeleteand love the pearls!
Maybe add a pop of colour? like red shoes or a belt?
I love how the corset top and little openings in it :)
It's a cute outfit with a nice color and pattern combo, though it is of course very revealing. Since you have the advantage of long muscular legs, you can wear it well. (My personal impression is that the longer the legs, the shorter a skirt can get in relation to them, which means for short-legged creatures like me the comfort zone ends at 5 inches above the knees or so... but don't let that bother you!) Your makeup looks very 1930s / 1940s.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your email, I really appreciated your thoughts! I agree that we don't actually disagree, and seeing matters from the perspective you described is very helpful for understanding why it seems so. I'll reply in more detail sometime soon... currently too groggy from coughing.
I like the #1 and #3 ... That's a cute outfit. Great for an evening out : )

ReplyDeleteCute and sexy! Your legs look amazing!
ReplyDeleteWow! That's some outfit!! I love the posing!!! For the black and white, I'd need some colour pop though! It's so great to get to see your experiments dear! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit! I like it more with the shrug and for the first time I don't think that it needs more color. Great job :)
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cute outfit! I really like pose 1 and 3. It is great that you're experimenting and sharing it with us, I think it is so exciting and I love reading your blog and seeing your photos =)
ReplyDeleteI love the increasing confidence in your poses and more daring outfits ;) its clear that you are enjoying experimenting with different outfits. I like the sexy clothes, black corset top and animal print skirt is hot! I van see you at a chic cocktail bar in that outfit. And your legs are awesome.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a hot outfit! ow owww! =) This is a great outfit for a night out. I think it would look good with less eye makeup too because the outfit itself is already bold and intense. I need a lesson from you on posing!
ReplyDeleteGreat legs!
ReplyDeleteVa-Va-Va-Voom! That is one sexy outfit. You're ready for a night on the town.
ReplyDeleteIn regard to female life - I'm 40+ and still trying to figure it out, so feel free to continue to share your insights:)
Great outfit!!! You rock it!
ReplyDeleteLove the corset with that skirt... honestly!
The outfit is great! You look GREAT! I think maybe the eye makeup on the edges is a little on the dark side and doesn't blend well, altogether, you looked LOVELY! Way to go!
ReplyDeleteKaren
A big hit on all accounts! Hair, makeup, clothing, shoes, AND poses! The most feminine you've achieved yet, I think because of the poses and the obvious girly happiness and confidence in your face and posture.
ReplyDeleteNo need to fear or worry; you are doing wonderfully. :)
You are a doll! Thanks so much for the sweet comment on my last post!
ReplyDeleteYou're hot.
ReplyDeleteEnd of story.
You should wear this outfit all the time.

Love the corset! Pose 1 is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteRocking that corset and you always look amazing in a mini skirt. I love the first pose.
ReplyDeleteYou are a risk taker which is what makes you so amazing. One of the things, anyway. I love pose number one. That corset is so sexy and pretty.
ReplyDeleteI would mix it up and not wear the matching shrug. Maybe a white blazer or some jewel tone pop of color.
xo,
Tracy
Without the shrug I think it looks great the way it is; with the shrug it could use some color -- not a lot, but maybe a red bead necklace or a bright teal bag, or the yellow belt you had on the other day. Just a little something to break up the pattern. Overall I love it though; sexy and sassy! Your poses #1 and 3 are particularly fetching as well.
ReplyDeleteI like the look its very chic right now and the color combo is sensible so the revealing bits aren't over the top. I would say less eye makeup, more demure makeup is always striking with a revealing outfit. Also, it could look good with paler makeup and a striking lipcolor.
ReplyDeletei LOVE leopard print so i love this look :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI love the print, it works well with the boldness of the structured top and short skirt. This outfit has a sharp, smart feel to it, I think it's great.
I like it.

I think this looks really great. I like it with the patterned sweater, too. It gives it some edge. I'm all for pops of color, but I think too much color might be overwhelming here. So, I like what you did!
ReplyDeleteI like the new poses, too! I'd like to do some sitting down ones myself, but it's kind of difficult when you're the one taking your own photos...but now that I'll be seeing my love more, I can just force him to take some for me! :)
I had to do a double look because I thought the skirt and shrug went together! I like the outfit a lot and it complements you very well. The shrug might be a bit busy though. Like suggested above, a pop of color could bring it out even more. I wonder what it would look like if you wore a bright, solid colored shrug instead?
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, your legs are great :D
I LOVE the look of the corset style top. It's a very hard thing to pull off, I think, but when it's done right it's amazing. So...yeah, I think it looks amazing! And I'm definitely a fan of the shrug-less, bare shouldered shots.
ReplyDeleteTotal hit.
ReplyDeleteI love the first pose - you look very natural. That corset is sweet!
