Some people celebrate birthdays; some people don't. I'm in the first group. A birthday is a nice occasion to enjoy yourself.
Last week, I was surprised to receive a brightly-decorated package from Poppy http://bearsandbunting.blogspot.com/ The package announces on the outside that it's a birthday gift and says not to open it until Wednesday. I can't wait! That was sooo sweet of Poppy. Visit her blog and see what a lovely woman she is.

I love birthdays so much I have turned March into birthmonth - I've structured it so every day in March is my birthday. I get presents on the main day, and for the rest of the month I make a point of enjoying something great every day because, after all, it is around my birthday. I like other people's birthday just as much. They're a big deal! I'm all up for cake and pressies - I think everyone should have a bit fuss and sugar on their birthday. Happy Birthday for Wednesday. I have a soft spot for Scorpios - every Scorp I've met I've liked and admired.

Emma, I am considering your idea of taking the day off work because, in the past when I haven't, something would happen at work to annoy me and then that ruined my whole day. If I don't go in, then I can't get aggravated!

ReplyDeleteI have to say, I have the worst luck when it comes to birthdays. I never seem to have a good one, ever. I don't know why, maybe I put too much pressure on it? I'm probably not going to celebrate it anymore, haha.
