Fashion Challenge

You guys gave me so many great ideas for my new red bra-thingie that I'm going to create several outfits with it.  I want to play around and see which work best.  I've never had so many cool ideas to start with -- thanks to you!

I'm beginning with a creation of my own, the neatest part of which is... I match my new car!  Yes, my black outfit with red accents is the perfect companion for my new Abarth.  Coincidence?  I think not. :-)

Speaking of which, the Abarth is molding around me and becoming part of me.  Its seat and cockpit fit me like a tony Italian glove.  The shape of the leather steering wheel sits in my hands like an extension of my body.  The car's responsiveness to shifting and acceleration feel as natural as any I've ever experienced.  What a wonderful choice!  I think you should get one.  Okay?

  5. Totally excellent look! You and your car look good enough to film a commercial together.

Admittedly I've never found such a connection with anything on wheels (be it bike, car, or rollerskates) - I envy those who have such passion!

  8. Okay, I'll get one of those cars too!
That's a practical way to wear your red bra thingy. I bet it feels sexy to you underneath it all. Knowing it's there makes all the difference.

    1. I'd heard women wear sexy lingerie, hidden beneath their clothing, to feel good and I never believed that -- until now!

I have a request - write about your makeup?

    1. Sure, buddy. I hesitate about doing so because my makeup is always so primitive. The average girl knows volumes more than me.

I don't always wear foundation but love to. I find it very hard to locate one that matches my skin-color because I'm furtively applying some to my wrist in the store instead of openly asking a saleswoman for assistance. Life would be so much easier if I could do things like that.

Two things I always do are darken my eyebrows with brown powder (smart readers corrected my prior use of black) and apply lipstick. Even though I can't wear makeup in public, I still own 16 different colors. How is that possible?!

I enjoy adding eyeshadow. I learned, through hard experience, that eyeshadow-primer is essential for me: otherwise, the shadow doesn't stick. My application of shadow has slowly gotten better; I'm learning how to shape and blend it on my lids.

I like adding false eyelashes for the femininity they create but they are tricky little buggers to apply. As a result, I use them only for special occasions.

      Thanks for asking!

  10. Oh I love this Ally! You know I adore patterns, so I love the striped sweater with the patterned skirt! I'd say it definitely matches your new car! Wish I could go for a ride!

  11. I love seeing real-time Ally, you'd fit in at any workplace or casual gathering here. You're really a pretty woman, and I'm so glad you're embracing that and gaining confidence.

The closest I might get to a car like that is a ride in yours sometime :P Keep your fingers crossed for oldest getting confirmation on an apt in NYC Monday - she's been subletting and is ready to have a permanent residence :)

Funny story, I had packaged your belated bday present to send, but when I went to mail it, Sasha Jane, the kitten I share with Megan Mae, had left the outside packing full of kitty teeth marks and claw marks :o I of course repackaged it and just want you to know that I think the contents are kitty proof but I don't know if she punctured the card...

  13. Very appealing take on this beautiful, glittering little top. I like the fact that overall it's a somewhat conservative outfit (usually my fave kind), but we who follow your blog know the sparkly secret that's lurking under that cozy cardigan.
