With A Little Help From My Friends

Building this outfit was fun. I found a purple-striped skirt last year while shopping in Vancouver with the girls at the blogger-meetup. The skirt has a pleat in the back so I can wear it running trails with Jodi or twirling my baton with Suzanne. You gotta love freedom of movement.

The ensemble is adorned with a "lady bow" which is what Gracey calls this mini-scarf she gave me. I've worn it many times and never tire of its feminine charm. And how about these hoop earrings!

The outfit is full of purples and pinks, my favorite colors. Too much? Mae West said too much of a good thing is just enough!

  4. Not too much, in my opinion - it looks good on you. I love pink but it doesn't love me back except in its most pale pastel shade :)

Have you ever had that feeling when you see something and know you just have to have be it was either a really good deal, or when you tried it on it made you feel like a million bucks? You are so lucky you have those moments more than the eaverage woman. You give me courage to try new things.

  10. I looked it up in the rule book and it says you can never have too much purple and pink. You look so lovely and elegant and feminine in this outfit. I love it! I even like the lady bow on you and I am generally not a fan of them, though that has more to do with not liking the feel of them on me than the look of them on other people. I LOVE your shoes. Big shoe envy! xoxoxo

  17. Delightful outfit! The pops of punchy colours here are just what the doctor order during these long, dark, chilly days of winter, so I say, have at 'er and go full rainbow, if so desired. :)

    Happy mid-January wishes,

  18. Pinks and purples chase away the cold grays of winter! And there's nothing better than the perfect shade of lippy to put a smile on one's face. Now let's both scrape up the courage to have a pro make-up artist show us how to wear false eyelashes...

  25. I love this whole package. Something about the scarf and the vertical stripes draw the eye so you don't miss anything about the ensemble, which is a good thing! Mixing unexpected colors and patterns is fun and something I love in clothes and decor. Bravo!!
