I went down to Northport Harbor on a beautiful September afternoon to admire the sky, the boats and the scene. It was lovely. I also spotted an amazing old tree.
I hsve seen your comments on Verbal Melange for a while and I thought I would check out your blog. It's lovely! Thanks for the enjoyable read. (I really like spiders, so I think the post about Mr. Spider was my favorite.) I look forward to reading more posts :).
I love going to the waterfront - it's very calming and soothing. My boot camp last night was along the water! I did pushups and burpees only a few feet from the Pacific Ocean!
That tree looks like the red cedars that grow around here - they have a similar striated bark.
Nice scenery and I love those piratey items! We live next to a harbor, but it's just a river ship harbor and a couple of months from now it will be freezing in there ;p. x, Lara http://rockteraptor.blogspot.fi/
I love being near the water. There is just something relaxing and calming about it. Northport is a lovely walking town. There always seems to be a great selection of dogs being walked there. That's one of my favorite parts :)
One of my most favorite sounds in the world is the sound of the waves pulling back across the small stones found on the shoreline. It makes a glass-like tinkling that i just love so much.
Beautiful photos, they are relaxing just to look at. I sometimes will bike along the Ottawa river which is just a beautiful sight seeing trip, water has such a calming presence to me.
I live in the desert now. Although I grew up in a house next to a lake that was fed by the ocean .. I guess I dont miss it but when I visit home I do love to see the water.
I love it when you do your 'Things I saw today' posts, I always know I'm gonnna see something fantastic, thanks Ally.
They were onboard the many boats parked in the marina and some of the boaters were wearing pirate costumes. I'm assuming it was in connection with International Talk Like A Pirate Day which was Wednesday.
Very unique sightings of that pirate stuff. Thank you for encouraging words. My schedule somehow is a bit more bearable if I like what I am wearing. Funny but true! :) Daphne.

Love the treasure chests! They seem fun, but what was their purpose?
