Different Perspectives

When you've always worn female clothes, conventional outfits like skirt-suits are ordinary. Routine. Nothing special.

But when you haven't had that opportunity, ordinary attire feels different. Exceptional. New and interesting.

That's where I am, which probably differs from where you are. You'll likely look at what I'm wearing today as unremarkable. But to me, it's like riding a new kind of vehicle. The sensations are novel. The extent to which I can and can't duplicate conventional female appearance is of vital import to me. This outfit represents an experiment in that direction.

I pay careful attention to the success and failure of efforts like this because they teach me what's possible, And, hopefully, they will someday lead me to a further step in my life's journey.

Whatcha think?

    1. Thank you. It was the beautiful color that drew me to this suit. I tried to present it without overwhelming it.

  2. This is a really fantastic look on you. I feel like it has elements of your playful self but also fits you in a tailored feminine way. I'd call this look a rounding success.

  3. So, this is Ally the Professional Woman look? The colour is pretty, and the accessories well chosen. Now, take it one step further: what does the lawyer Ally look like?

    1. This with a briefcase and no heart.

    2. No, I don't think a briefcase is enough. This outfit cannot be accessorized with 'no heart', nobody would buy it, you look way too friendly and nice in this. 'No heart' needs an outfit that can sell the idea.

  7. I love the little floppy bow! And that green is luscious on you! I think I would do a lower neckline on the blouse to help offset the wide shoulders, but otherwise, A+, Ally!

  8. Green is my favorite. (Teal and aqua, too.) :)
I think you look lovely! I wish we could all look at the ordinary as extraordinary. Honestly, I wish I dressed like the old movies: dresses, heels, and pinned up hair. Instead I'm jeans, boots, and topknot, occasionally a dress...

  14. Well it is even kind of the same for non transgender people lot of trial and error finding your style and what looks good on you. Except for the average America guy they do not seem to care what they wear haha. But you will find your way and I think you are off to a good start here!

  15. I also loved your line about having "no heart" That has to be rather difficult for you but of course "professional".
I'm giving you a heartfelt two thumbs up Ally. This is a snappy, pulled together look.

  17. This is a beautiful--and very sophisticated--look for you. I love this color on you (and the way the suit complements the nude pumps. I am a firm believer in every woman owning at least one good pair of nude heels!).
