Starting the year with a walk in Sunken Meadow State Park where the cold wind susurrated with winter sounds.

  1. Beautiful image! A wonderful way to start th new year and I learned a new word. I will admit I first thought it was a typo, then I considered the source and went to google!
    Happy 2018,
    ❤️❤️

  2. It is a new word for me too. I also went for a walk just to weather the elements. In years gone by when the boys were younger this would have been a ski day...a bitterly cold day but a day on the slopes telling the elements that we will not be held back.
On my walk today I only went as far as my 20 oz bottle of water lasted. It was so cold that as the bottle was nearing the bottom the water was actually starting to crystalize and freeze.

  3. Ooh, look at you, all big words - susurrate...such an onomatopoetic word!

Saw your comment - you're coming here??? Can you hear me squealing all the way on the other coast?? Hells yes, we will dress your fab bod, girlfriend!

  5. How fab you will be visiting in BC again! I hope you make it over to the Island to visit Sheila. Of all the places in Canada, Victoria and Vancouver Island are my favourite. One of the best hiking spots in the world is East Sooke park up the mountain (hill) trail and back to the sea. It is part of the famous Juan de Fuca trail.

    Gorgeous photo.

  7. Happy New Year Ally!!!!! Wishing you a stunning 2018.

We also started the New Year with a walk in the Waitakere Ranges in Auckland, New Zealand. Only at the end of the walk did we see that it was actually for "Experienced Trampers". We did however get it finished in one piece!!!
