Well not actually, but Winter ended today in New York. The temperature reached 60-degrees. Warmth is melting snow and hearts. February was rough.
During my recent trip to Atlanta, Jen and I went thrifting. I found pieces for two new outfits. Pretty outfits. Anticipating Spring, I snapped up bright colors and light materials.
So cute! You look ready for a spring picnic. It sounds like you had a fantastic trip to Atlanta, and it must have been so much fun to thrift with a friend.
Oh, my goodness....Ally!...I don't think I've ever seen you look so darn cute! Your pretty makeup/hair with these darling pants and lovely spring pink colors is very flattering. You look fresh, vibrant, and oh so feminine. You are spring ready! I never thought about you in this style of pant, but this opens up a whole new realm of outfit possibilities because I think they look amazing on you. Love these pictures so much. xo
Ahhh, you're so adorable! Those cropped pants are precious, I want to steal them from you ;) Super jealous of your temps, as well. How does NY, which is FARTHER NORTH than Ohio, hit 60 when we're still stuck in the low 50s??
I meant to comment at the thrift store that those pants were SORTA channeling the 50s pants of your mom's you love so much but a different fit. I think you made a great choice! I love how you can just see something and call its perfection for you. That's one of the cuffs you bought here too, right?
You look wonderful, and your happiness is just bursting forth like a brand new spring blossom. Hahaha, had to try my hand at an Ally-ism.
Also especially love the photo of you looking to the side. :)
Yes, the colorful cuff came from that bohemian store we visited. Only $6. You inspired me to take and choose the side-looking photo. I previously always looked directly at the camera ('cause my profile is unattractive) but I'm trying new poses. An experiment that worked. It's funny but I wasn't consciously aware of how retro these pants are; seeing them now it's obvious. I love that look. Sometimes we stumble onto success without realizing it.
I don't know where you're getting that your profile is unattractive. But a slightly tilted head or slight side view add a lot of visual interest to a photo and make you feel more connected with the subject...and is also just extra flattering. You did it well!
I am so ready for spring but it's still cold here...weird, Italy was the land of the sun and pizza but it seems another country lately, LOL. You look adorable in this pink look, Ally ! It also looks like you lost some weight, am I right ? Not that you needed, but you look really fit ! So spring ready ! Kisses
I am spring-green with envy at how well those capris work to make your legs glorious. Pink? Your color, and in that shade, for sure! I really like the cut of the shoulder on it for you, too ... another shape I love on others but just doesn't work on me. Seriously cute little flats with it. Yes. I pronounce you completely ready for spring! I'm ready for it too, at least in my noggin, and am pre-shopping our stores for shoes. Always my first personal sign of spring; when I come home with bags of shoe boxes!
those those two shades of pretty pink! I agree, it is time to snap up some color and put the winter away. Love the shoes too! xx, Elle http://mydailycostume.com
Very lovely! Those striped capris are super cute + fun + classic. I could easily have seen them being sported by someone like Audrey Hepburn, circa Roman Holiday, in the 50s.
We're not quite at spring yet here, but with a bit of luck, soon I'll be reaching for my sleeveless shirts and cropped pants, too. I can hardly wait!
What a fantastic pink top. Yes, I am hoping for spring to arrive very soon. Even though I am still in scarves and jackets. :) Happy weekend. Madison Blood Orange & Grey
I LOVE this pink ensemble! It just makes a good mood to look at this outfit! Cant wait to see the second one you found in Atlanta :) Have a wonderful weekend!
On the other side of the earth we are spiraling into Autumn and getting ready to wear the sometimes bleak colours of Winter ... so seeing you in your gorgeous Spring colours is uplifting and you look so happy in these colours.
Yes! to Spring in all its glory. Lovely, vibrant shades on you, Ally.

Thanks. I'm not familiar with women's pants so I need to experiment with different lengths.

ReplyDeleteHere is a winner ! Yes, the colours and the shapes.
ReplyDeleteYou remind me of the girls in the movies, something Ms Hepburn would wear.
What a fun outfit! I had red gingham capri pants but then my hips got too big to fit in them - booooo!
