That inspired me to create this post. I pulled my high-heeled velvet boots out of storage and paired them with something cute. I styled the outfit two ways -- first like a traditional fashion-blogger and, second, like a Bad Girl. I can be a Bad Girl, can't I? Every woman has a Bad Girl buried deep inside her.
Which style do you prefer?
Both are lovely but I choose the bad girl. She seems a lot of fun to hang around with ;). I would totally wear this "girly rock" look ! Kisses

Oh it is always fun to play with a bit of the bad girl! I like this dress best with the scarf, for the feminine shape it gives and the bit of colour. I love boots too and have no problem wearing them in summer in terms of style, but in mid summer I find them too hot.
ReplyDeleteYou look sassy and adorable and like you are having lots of fun!
xoxo
Both looks are great.. you ARE a bad girl.. I know it.. heh heh... awesome and I love that jacket! rawr
ReplyDeleteI love the bad girl look! It's amazing what a little leather can do for a for a girl!
ReplyDeleteBoots happen to be my most favorite footwear but I can only do ankle boots during Texas summers. Long boots are put away around April or May here.
Oh, the Bad Girls are always so much more fun... ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou play the 'bad girl' so well Miss Ally!!!!! and like une femme says ... "Bad Girls (do seem) to have much more fun!!!
ReplyDeleteI love boots with dresses! You look so good in both of these outfits. I think I prefer the bad girl look. I have always wished I was more of a bad girl, too!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute dress! I like it with the edgyness of the jacket I think! So much fun!
ReplyDeleteCUTE! I like both looks, and that polka dress with the boots! LOVE!
ReplyDeleteI love both looks! You could even combine them and make the scarf circle-like and wear it with the jacket. I love soft scarves with leather jackets, and if I could choose only one type of footwear, it would be boots. I give this an A+!
ReplyDeleteI love bad girl all the way but then maybe it's just cause I want to be one so bad.
ReplyDeleteWe all do, Sarah. :-)
DeleteOh my gosh...you're awesome! I love that you pull off both looks. I prefer the first, but I can totally see myself rocking both outfits. They both look like something I'd wear :)
ReplyDeleteBoots in the summer are a YES!

Polka dots are my favourite so I love this. I definitely think there are no rules when it comes to fashion- I always wear the same pieces regardless of what season it is.
ReplyDeleteI like the second look best because I'm one of those people who has a hard time reconciling scarves and boots for summer. I just can't get past the thought that if it's hot enough to go sleeveless, why do you need boots and a scarf?!
ReplyDeleteI think that the problem is that I tend to view my wardrobe in a very practical way due to bike riding. You wear weather/seasonal appropriate clothes when you ride a bike, because you have to or you'll either freeze or overheat. So, even if I don't ride, I tend to dress like I am.
I understand that thinking, Gracey. When I'm on my motorcycle, I'm always conscious of the comfort of my clothing and the weather.
DeleteI am a firm believer that boots can be worn year round... that is, unless they're UGG boots. I think it's great to ground a summer mini with a knee high boot, or a flawy skirt with a combat boot. It's more unexpected than a sexy sandal, and is perfect for times when you don't want to get a pedicure.

Boots are so versatile, aren't they? Both outfits are adorable, Ally!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I had boots like that- in fact, I had two seperate pairs of boots like that! Hmmm, must wear the latter pair!
ReplyDeleteYou look great. I like the colour pairing of look two- the black jacket looks GOOD! Ooh,and I had a motorbike-related issue on my blog and I wondered if you too had ever been a passenger on a bike? Skirts or sarongs on bikes, what;s your opinion?!x
And I should say, I had no option on leathers for being on a bike...x
ReplyDeleteI think I prefer the first outfit! Love that little scarf and what id does to the outfit!

I wear boots with dresses a lot. It downplays the girly-ness for me, which is more my style. I like the bad girl look!
ReplyDeleteIt is allowed, but can be rather warm and runs the risk of looking out of place. Ankle and mid-calf boots work best usually when the mercury is sizzling - and definitely no Ugg styles unless you live in a very chilly climate, they' be as warm as fur coats for your feet in the summer!

you have nice legs, and they look darn good in them boots. that is all.
ReplyDeleteSo it's recently come to my attention that a lot of my comments don't show up for some reason...BOO! Forgive me if you start seeing random comments from me on older posts :)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, just wanted to tell you how much I absolutely LOVE the dress with the moto jacket and boots! Va-va-voom!!
You totally rock the bad-girl look. :-)
