Saying Goodbye To Summer

I just found a lovely pastel-colored dress which I'm using to bid farwell to the season.  I suppose this cutie will have to go into my closet until next year.  Do you think I could wear it outside of Summer or is it confined to that season?

Oh, and don't forget to vote for Post Of The Year.  The race is close and the outcome might be decided by the last few ballots.  Tomorrow is the last day to vote.

  1. I can see how this dress could be transitional, with the right cardigan, say in a raspberry or a light, but more olive green.

  2. Now THAT is a flattering silhouette on you! The cut of the neckline and shoulders is very slimming. The tie at the waist really accentuates yours effortlessly. Great length as well. This baby is a keeper <3

My vote is that it is spring/summer dress because of the palette - but if it makes you feel gorgeous... then it's good for all year :)

  3. How pretty. I think if the ribbon is remove-able you might be able to pull of a darker cardigan with some tights, but I honestly say it's a very summer dress. I know some people like maximum versatility, but I prefer to keep just some items as solely winter/summer. I DO lovelovelove the mix of pink and green. My favorite! (Seriously, my computer is nearly those shades of pink and green)

  4. I agree with the other comments about adding a darker cardigan, like olive green. Also, switch out the ribbon belt for something more fall-like.

It's such a pretty dress that it'd be a shame if you had to wait until next summer to wear it.

  5. Such a lovely print! Love the colors. You could definitely wear it in fall, may be with a denim jacket?

  6. It is indeed a cute dress! I found that summery pastels and even florals work quite well in winter paired with some light-colored knit neutrals - because of the snow. Example: http://seamstress-stories.blogspot.com/2010/12/blending-in.html Your dress would look awesome with a cream-colored cardigan, salmon tights and beige boots, I think.

  7. This is a cute dress! Definitely could be transitioned to fall. How about a deep purple or plum cardigan or mustard yellow? Or a khaki blazer? The bow is such a great detail on the dress too!

  8. Really pretty dress - I like Tanvi's suggestion with a denim jacket, floral and denim - lovely combination....

  9. It is really cute... I would definitely keep it a spring/summer outfit. Some of the fun of the season change is putting away some of the clothing you've grown tired of, and bringing out your old friends you've missed.

  12. I think this dress could transition with a pair of raspberry leggings/tights and maybe a cardigan or light jacket, but that bow in the front is just TO cute :)

  13. The colours on this dress are delicious ... makes me think of fruit salad.

I think you could easily transition this into fall ... with a richer shade cardigan.

  15. A classic shift with a little extra. So pretty! It nips in at just the right spot to give you a wonderful womanly shape.

Personally, I would save it for spring ans summer but if you add a colored cardigan and tights you could bring it into fall.

  16. You look fabulous in that dress. I'd think you could get away with it in Spring and Summer. I guess a cardigan would work, as the others suggested, to carry it into Fall. But seriously, I really shouldn't try and make a recommendation. I am clueless when it comes to fashion. I just know you look great in this dress. :-)
