Belts and POTY

Imagine my surprise when I saw one of my old ties -- an item I'd had for years in my closet -- gracing the chic outfit of a fashion-blogger.  One whom I didn't even know and had never seen her blog!

Yes, Megan weaved her magic again.  She transformed the tie into a belt and gave it away as a gift to one of her blogging friends.  I was thrilled when Heather informed me about this.  I'm really pleased to see items from my personal life floating around the blogosphere.

Oh, and a reminder about POTY.  (That's an acronym for Post Of The Year, not toilet-training.)  Please send in any final nominations.  I will present you with a selection of terrific blog-posts soon and then you'll get to vote -- and enjoy them!

  4. Thanks so much for showing this! Megan really did a great job and I am so happy to have been one of the lucky recipients :) I just wish the lighting was better to give the belt the attention it deserves. The kindness of people like you, allows others to spread the fun of fashion all over the blog world!

  5. Thanks for continuing to share my project. I hope to get my room back in order and be able to pull some more ties out. Soon you're ties will be all over the blog-o-sphere if I have anything to say about it. I've already got plans of button flowers being sent out everywhere.

  6. I love this idea. I am all for using items in expected ways -- so much better than throwing them out, right?
