Several bloggers are doing "Dressember," where they wear dresses every day this month, which got me to thinking I should add new dresses to my wardrobe. At least one or two. So I went to Marshall's this week (it's a discount-store) and found two cute dresses for only $12 and $15. That doesn't break the bank.
Here's the first. I like it. What do you think?
That dress is HOT !!!! Love the color and embellishments !! You look Beautiful in it.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Emma. :)
ReplyDeleteOh! What a gorgeous dress! It looks great on you! The color and the model are pretty!
ReplyDeleteSorry I have disappeared from your blog, I was studying for final tests in college:)
Have a great weekend!
xoxo
It's lovely, but I think you could use a nice belt with it ^^.
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful dress. Looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteNice dress, but I totally LOVE the shoes!
ReplyDeleteI love the color on you :) and how your happiness is shining through in your facial expressions when you wear dresses and skirts!
ReplyDeleteThanks, guys. And yes, Brianna, you're right about the joy: it's so powerful, I can't hide it.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I agree with Tamara, about the belt. It would give you a more defined and tiny looking waist line.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment on my blog. I am a bit of a worrier sometimes.
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit! I looove that dress, the colour is gorgeous xx
ReplyDeleteI love the color, and the neckline... gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThat type of dress is meant to fit a bit blouson, so it's looser around the middle, but you are a bit tall for that to work. It looks good as it is now... of course the hot legs and killer shoes are turning me green....
Another time, I'd love to see you wear it blousey, maybe with your black mini under it...
I wasn't familiar with that word (blouson) and had to look it up. (I enjoy learning new terms, so thank you.) I can see you're right. Putting girl-clothes on a boy often produces odd results; my body-shape doesn't match the one intended by the design.
ReplyDeleteI will try it as you suggest; that's a self-evidently good idea. Thanks, LD.
love the dress! the shoes are even better : )
ReplyDeleteIt's "Dressember" for me every month... I seem to have a phobia of trousers these days, no idea why!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, love that dress, it's a gorgeously rich colour and the neckline is very pretty. x
I love this colour on you and the idea of Dressember is fabulous! I find it so much easier (and more comfy) to thrown on a dress rather than wear separates. And as a fellow bargain babe- great finds!!!

What a pretty dress! I love the embellised neckline and the colour on you. You're glowing. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, guys. Your words mean so much to me!
ReplyDeleteIt isn't noticeable in the photos, but I spent extra time on my makeup. Green eyeshadow brings out the color in my green/brown eyes and I like the way that looks.
I think that Dress is perfect for christmas, the color, the stones. Just perfect!
ReplyDeletei love the dress. that colour is perfect for this season.
ReplyDeleteLove the color! Very holiday season. I agree with the green eyeshadow. It's a color I never think will work, but always adds a nice pop.
ReplyDeleteYes, perfect for this time of year with that color - and is that some sparkle I see in the neckline? Very pretty. I think I'd like to see it with a belt as well - and I like LD's idea of putting it over a skirt!
ReplyDeleteYou have some foxy gams, doll! Love the shoes and the dress color.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to echo the add a skirt sentiment. Do you have a nice pencil skirt or slim fitting mini?
Thanks, Fuzzy! You're too kind.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I have two skirts that would be perfect for this. I can't tell you, I really can't, how happy it makes me to be able to say that -- and even just to have this kind of conversation. This is kinda my life's dream coming true. :)
I love the dress. I think the color is a great choice for a "December dress." Red can get a little cliche this time of year. I like that you opted for a pink/cranberry shade instead. I'd love to see the dress paired with a pair of patent leather peep toe heels. The oxfords are cute, but maybe a little too contradictory in their message when compared to the message of the dress. Oxford heels say stylish business, but this dress, with its length, fit, and embellished neckline, says fun to me. I say pull out the party shoes with it!
ReplyDeleteYou're right, Meg, about the shoes. I just don't have any suitable for it. The answer to that is... oh, goody! I need to go shopping!
ReplyDeleteI love that colour. Perhaps a belt would be good with it as well
ReplyDeletewow! you are so lovely!
