Surprisingly the dress was in Macy's, a place I never shop. I was passing through and took a chance looking at the super-sale rack. The dress was only $9.
I added a petticoat beneath it to create some volume which helps add curves to my shape. Turning a cylinder into an hourglass takes creativity.
What's your favorite style of dress?
Ooh, it's so striking! What a bargain! My favourite type of dress is a Skater dress!
ReplyDeleteIt's a "fit and flare"! That's the most universally flattering shape - it looks good on 99% of people!
ReplyDeleteI love the stripey bottom half - so much fun!
Thanks for the name of it, Sheila. I wasn't aware of that.
DeleteSo cute!

You look beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! Given what I start with, that's an achievement. :)
DeleteIt's indeed a fit and flare dress, as pointed out by Sheila! You do look fabulous in yours, which is very cute. If my legs looked even half as good as yours, I'd wear shorter skirts and dresses too! xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks, pal.
DeleteSuper cute! Summer always makes me want dresses and skirts.
ReplyDeleteMe, too. Dresses and skirts float my boat. :-)
DeleteIt's so fun finding things on the sale rack that are total winners!
ReplyDeleteThe thrill of the hunt!
DeleteThis is stunning on you! I absolutely love the silhouette! What an amazing find!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Beth.
DeleteWell, if I had Legs like that I'd wear more Dresses! *Winks* In fact, I don't wear Dresses at all anymore... but I Love that one, everything about it and you look stunning in it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, pal! Compliments never get old. :-)
DeleteGreat dress and you wear it well. It looks like a comfortable and fun dress to wear
ReplyDeleteThanks. It *is* comfy. The material stretches easily and conforms to whatever your body wants to do. I could see wearing this all day to anything.
DeleteI'm not a big clothes shopper but I always find great deals at Macy's when I go.
ReplyDeleteI had just started wearing dresses for the first time in my life (I'm in my 50's) and then moved to the PNW (from FL) and now I'm way too cold to wear them lol

Bring a coat! I, too, only started wearing dresses in my 50's and wouldn't let anything stop me now.
DeleteVery you! I especially like the pearls and heels. It's a little edgy and daring, and you definitely pull it off.
