I particularly love the colours of that first photo. I do love the seaside, and walking on a virtually empty beach. Not a fan of crowded beaches or sunbathing at all. xxx
There is nothing like the sun, the sand and the salt. Our place in Jersey is about 2 miles from the 'shore' and we are on the sand all the time. There is a magic created by the ionization of the air from the crashing waves. It has been crowded lately but we try to get a spot close to the water and do what we can to tune out everything but the roar of the surf. I count having easy access to salt water as one of my greatest blessings.
Yay for beach days! Living in landlocked Kansas, I wonder what it's like to be able to just drive to the beach (without, you know, taking a plan first, haha)!
These photos are absolutely painterly. They should be hung in a gallery. I’m embarrassed to say that while I am in the Hamptons for the summer, I rarely if ever, go to the beach. Because I take a chemotherapeutic drug, and I am very pale, I am quite prone to skin cancer. But I love to be in the house or restaurant that overlooks the beach. ❤️❤️❤️ Elle https://theellediaries.com/
These are beautiful pictures! We live not too far from Lake Erie so that is the closest to a day at the beach we get.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I've been to Lake Erie: it's bigger than I expected.
DeleteThe weather has been perfect for the beach this year. I'm not one for the beach unless I can be in the shade.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun trip! Hope you used lots of sunscreen : P

ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos Ally ... Hope you looked after our skin in the sun.
ReplyDeleteThe sea is about 600km's away from where I live and I don't like going to the beach so a river or lake it is for me.

Lucky you!
DeleteI love the beach and posted a lot about it on my Instagram! By the way, you don't use IG do you? Kisses

I have an IG account to follow my friends there but don't ever post on it.
DeleteOoh it looks wonderful! I used to go to the beach frequently when we lived in New Jersey. Great way to enjoy the hot weather. :)
